Fraxinus greggii

Fraxinus greggii

Howdy Plant Lovers!

This week’s highlighted plant is an evergreen large shrub to small tree many of you may not know just yet. Fraxinus greggii has been on my radar for a while now, but we never had good numbers to really promote it. Known as the Little-leaf Ash, this small, shiny leafed beauty is very useful and hardy as well surviving both cold and heat. As time goes on, the attractive gray, mottled bark at maturity gives an added featured which contrasts the green foliage nicely. I also love the way this plant dances in the wind due to its open habit that moves freely, yet not breaking. Also, the density of the foliage makes it a great choice for privacy screening or anywhere a soft green texture is needed to fill in. The flowers and fruit are not very showy or ornamental so this one is very low on the amount of litter produced. Fraxinus greggii performs best in full sun to part shade with well drained soils.

We have a nice crop of 15g ready to go. Please see attached information sheet, mature landscape photos and pics of the 15g.

Have you noticed, our availability is MASSIVE right now!!!

Oh and don’t miss the photo- link with many new items!
