What is your role at Genius Within?

CEO, and a shareholder of Genius Within.

What is your favourite thing about working for Genius Within?

I have so many favourite things about Genius Within, but if I have to pick one would be our purpose and mission.  If I am ever having a tricky day, I go and read one of the hundreds of stories and pieces of feedback that we receive.  Without fail, those stories, the work of our teams and Associates and understanding the impact we have on our clients and customers is incredibly humbling, motivating and inspiring.

What motivates you at work?

Obviously, I’m biased but the Genius Within sailors are the best team one could ever hope for and I feel privileged every day that I get to work with you all. It took me a long time to find my perfect workplace but I finally feel like I am exactly where I need to be.

What is your favourite way to unwind after a day of work?

I have always loved listening to the radio, and in particular Radio 4.  I really enjoy the comedy that is on Radio 4 at 6.30pm each evening – and if I can time cooking my family’s evening meal whilst that is on, that is me in one of my happiest of places.

Cover to Cover: Launch Bash!

Genius gathered in London to support the book launch of our Founder and CSO Dr Nancy Doyle, and her academic best buddy Professor Almuth McDowall. Both authors are neurodivergent themselves and have been researching and writing on the subject of neurodiversity coaching for many years. Having decided it was finally time to put all of their wisdom into a book we we were excited to hear what they had to say.

A space to thrive... 

At the Good Ship Genius, we love to help people tap into their strengths! A question that we like to ask is for people to describe what they are like when they are working at their best. Because all brains are different some people will answer with a very straightforward list, while others may tap into a metaphor to describe their state. Having so many creative and visual thinkers on our team we decided recently to collate these and turn them into a social media campaign where we chose videos that matched the descriptions.
