How Are You Meant To Serve The World In A Bigger + Better Way

My gift is helping you figure out your gifts and why you rock and how are you meant to really serve the world in a bigger and better way. And I've had more than a few career pivots myself.

I figured out after the last meltdown at age 50, that my gift was actually not just being a marketer of organizations, of companies and of brands, but of helping the leaders behind those brands really shine the light on your own genius.

So that you can figure out how you're meant to serve, and you can get paid well, doing what you love, if that's one of your goals. But the bottom line is I think that you deserve to really thrive in your zone of genius without selling your soul or losing your mind.

How's that for a special nuance, it's not just about finding a job or just taking home a paycheck.

So, if you recall over time, I've been talking about rocking your connections and rocking your reconnections. Why it's important not to lose track and not feel intimidated.

Here's the thing -- I never want you to feel like you have to apologize to someone because it's been a long time and worry that you're going to be stammering over your words or feeling icky.

Because I didn't keep track. Because once when you hop on these conversations, it is mind-bending how easy it is to slip right back into the conversation. It's the little simple things. This is not rocket science, but it's human kindness and tapping into each other. So don't lose fact that sometimes little simple things like that make a big difference.

I wholeheartedly intentionally set out to create environments where sometimes people can learn on their own, and sometimes people can be taught. Because I truly believe that when you can feed off of each other's energy and you know that you now have a safe circle of supporters, it makes all the difference in the world.

Even if that's your end game is to get a job. Your game is to build relationships because those relationships will bring you opportunities.

Here's how it works -- when people see how you fit into their world, and you're not a threat, you are the master collaborator. Who's used to coming in a lot, aligning and collaborating, assessing what's going on. And then back-filling between your collective experience. And then we go back into that strengths conversation that always comes up because you're not supposed to be good at everything. Your collective team should be.

Meet Maria. One of our mastermind crew, she came in for help with her presentation. She was not born in this country and she's Latina. She wanted to elevate her expert status and so helped her get more comfortable in her storytelling, get her more comfortable in her global networking.

She runs a global task force and that's new. So not only do we teach her how to do that in the middle of all of it, she, we update her LinkedIn profile. Now all of a sudden she's getting all these calls. She wasn't looking for a job and now she's getting calls and she got put on her first interview. She went right to the hiring manager.

There were three people, right in the very first interview. What does that mean when they put you into the first interview with the three decision-makers in the first interview at the same time? She came in and we practiced.

On Monday, we practice interviewing and we talked about interviewing and negotiation. And what if they come back and offer you a job and what should you be looking for? So, all out of grace, just being in a state of grace and being around people who feel good. And she obviously had already felt good with the folks here because she wanted to be here so that the others could hear that conversation.

Do you see what I'm saying? Like that's a special person. Like that's someone you want to have in your corner to be able to bounce ideas and stuff back and forth from. So, that's kind of why we are all getting a little addicted to this whole Mastermind and how it works.

I think that's an important part, especially if you're looking for, to be a senior leader within the industry. Even if you don't feel that way, you just have to fake it until you make it tons of coffee, maybe not too much coffee, but just, just find a way to make sure that people can feel that passion.

If you have the drive and passion, listen up. You want to take a few moments to fill out the application to see if you would be a good fit for the Rock on Success Mastermind. It will help you develop your mindset, skillset, and toolset and turn you into the rockstar you are meant to be.
