A journey begins with a first step

Yesterday was an important milestone in my life. I took my very first step on another journey of passion & purpose. I ran my first public workshop outside of work. 22 participants & I spent 3+ hours together on a self discovery journey to build our personal brand.

I always want to do this & I've been talking about this for a long time. This time I did it for real. No more talking.

The fact that every single person stayed until the end of the workshop despite the aircon turning off 1 hour before the workshop ended said it all

- One participant wrote me a little note at the end thanking for the workshop as she really needed it at this point in her life

- Another one told me it was worth waking up early on weekend for this & she wanted the workshop to be longer

- One participant at the end said that it was a start of a new journey for him as he started finding and owning his strengths

I feel so fulfilled & joyful 'coz I know the impact I can create in other people’s lives. This workshop is also the first attempt of @ourlovequest to connect and inspire people offline to love (themselves & their lives) more & better.

Very last minute, 2 weeks & 2 days from venue checking to delivering the workshop with everything in between.

It takes more than a village to make this workshop happen. I’m grateful for:

- a friend who helped get an awesome venue for the workshop

- many friends who not only said yes to participate to the workshop but also helped share & promote the workshop in their community

- few more friends who helped with all the logistics and took care of them so beautifully so that I could focus on the content and lead the workshop

- a kind soul (a fan of @ourlovequest) sent me a surprised parcel all the way from UK just b4 I started the workshop this morning (this was definitely an energy booster for me!)

- all other friends who gave me so much encouragements & love throughout this journey

- last but not least, to all the participants who trusted me & showed up 100% at the workshop. Thank you & no matter how far I go, all of you remain a special place in my heart. First workshop, just like first love, is unforgettable!
