The Ladder To A Lakh Followers
Hello,
I get it. You're putting in the work—creating content, posting consistently—but still, your audience isn't growing the way you’d hoped. It's easy to feel stuck or even frustrated. But here’s the truth: Growth isn't about doing more. It's about doing things differently.
Let’s take a look at some reasons why your audience may not be growing, and more importantly, what you can do about it.
1. You’re Chasing the Wrong Numbers
Likes and comments might feel rewarding, but they can be misleading. Real growth comes from genuine engagement and long-term connections.
Ask yourself:
Measure success by quality, not quantity. Focus on the impact your content creates—not just the numbers it racks up.
2. Consistency Over Overload
Let’s be honest, creating nonstop content can quickly burn you out. But here’s the secret: Consistency doesn’t mean posting all the time. It means being predictable without overwhelming yourself.
Instead of focusing on creating more content, try creating with purpose and in batches. Planning ahead and setting aside specific days to write, record, or edit helps you maintain a steady flow of content without feeling overwhelmed.
I’ve found batching to be a game-changer—having a backlog of content ready to go means I don’t have to scramble for ideas last-minute. This way, I can focus on quality and stay creative without running out of steam.
3. You’re Not Connecting Deeply Enough
When was the last time you really connected with your audience? Not just sharing tips or advice, but really showing them who you are? Authenticity is everything. People follow creators they feel they can relate to, not just those who post polished content.
If your content isn’t gaining traction, maybe it’s because it feels too perfect. Share more of the behind-the-scenes: the wins, the struggles, and the lessons you’ve learned. People don’t just want your best version—they want the real version of you.
When you give a little more of yourself, your audience will trust you more, engage with you more, and stick around longer.
4. You’re Not Giving Your Audience What They Need (or Want)
Recommended by LinkedIn
Sometimes, we get so caught up in what we think our audience wants, that we forget to listen to them. Pay attention to the comments, messages, and feedback you’re getting. It’s a goldmine of insight into what your followers are truly looking for.
Have you asked yourself:
A lot of times, the answer is simpler than we think. Focus on providing value—real value—not just what’s trendy or what you think might perform well. When your content genuinely helps people, they’ll come back for more.

Your Challenge for This Week
Instead of stressing about follower count, try something different: Create one piece of content that feels deeply authentic to you. Share a story, an insight, or a lesson learned—something that feels a little vulnerable or personal.
People follow you for you—not just your content. It’s time to embrace that.

Bonus Tip:
Engagement is key, but so is listening. Ask your audience what they need from you. Run polls, ask for feedback, and take note of the common themes.
Show your audience their voice matters by creating content that directly addresses their concerns or questions. Whether it’s a tutorial, a relatable story, or a resource they need, aligning with their needs builds trust and strengthens your connection.
I know it can be frustrating when things don’t grow as quickly as you want them to. But trust me, you don’t have to play the numbers game. Focus on building real connections, being consistent, and staying authentic, and your audience will grow in a way that feels natural and fulfilling.
I’m excited to see where this journey takes you.
