Mindful Moments of the Week #8
Here are this week's set of guided mindfulness practices (mostly meditations). Each has a specific theme and narrative surrounding them
Mindful Speech: In this talk, we explore the way we engage with others through speech. Specifically how we do not carefully choose our words, but instead look to fill awkward silences. We look at ways that we connect more in conversation
Stilling the Mind: Here we look at the busy mind and how we can distract it from distraction by simply focusing our attention on what is happening at this moment in time. A simple exercise!
The Foundation of All Abundance: We may not truly recognise the value that a lot of things in our life have. Until they are lost anyway. Here we reference one of Eckhart Tolles quotes about acknowledging the good and hone in our expression of gratitude
Accentuate the Positive: Esteemed Psychologist Rick Hanson talks a lot about the negativity bias our minds operate around. In this exercise we explore shifting perspectives from one of negativity to positioning positive experiences in our mind
Every Breath Counts: A REAL treat here. After attending a group retreat this week, I was introduced to the idea of possible prevention of COVID19 been closer to home than we think. Have a listen here to find out more
