Questions and answers

1) What does the text contain?

R: Features basic of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and applicability in different scenarios such as schools, companies and even our personal relationships.

2) What does non-violent education consist of?

R: The language of non-violent communication is supported by three fundamental principles: self empathy, empathic listening and authenticity.

3) What does non-violent communication have to do with language?

R: Marshal argued that all of us, human beings, were born with the capabilities to act in life under the three pillars: self empathy, empathic listening and authenticity. However, we are not taught to practice and remember that teaching that is part of our essence.

For Marshal, most schools and social institutions (family, companies and others) are linked to the development of an unnatural language: the language of the Jackals.

In order to combat this language and help us lead the way to a more natural language that is closer to our essence, Marshal developed what he calls: the language of the giraffe or the language of the heart.

The video below was taken from a conference given by Marshal and it is very clear the difference in conceptualization and action between the two languages.

Follow me and note and write down all the important points of the video, your impressions and interest.

Notice how the concept of love is discussed between a jackal and a giraffe and how the conceptions and feelings are distinct.

We will continue this introduction in an upcoming article.
