Our list unveils 11 experts, professionals and community leaders in Singapore who are sparking conversations and sharing insights about mental health on LinkedIn. Reporting by Chris Anderson and Yunita Ong.
The issue of mental health has been top of mind for people in Singapore this year. With Covid frontline workers under strain and work-from-home burnout on the rise, many professionals are struggling to maintain their mental health. The nation's focus turned to this topic after the the River Valley High School tragedy, which showed the impact on the broader community.
Against this backdrop and to mark World Mental Health Day on October 10, LinkedIn News is unveiling this list of Singapore-based mental health advocates to follow.
This list of professionals (ordered alphabetically by surname) has been editorially curated by the LinkedIn News Asia team, and is based on each advocate’s experience in the mental health sector, the quality of their content and the connections they are helping others to make.
We hope that this will serve as a year-round resource for you and your community. Ranging from therapists to researchers to coaches, they are sharing informative content and helpful resources, as well as sparking conversations on one of the most important topics of our day.
We also invite you to join the conversation with #WorldMentalHealthDay by sharing your advice, personal stories, and opinions on achieving better mental well-being. Our Managing Editor Chris Anderson has written about how mental health shouldn't be a Squid Game and the steps professionals have taken to fight burnout, and professionals across LinkedIn are sharing their five-word personal mantras for affirming themselves and staying mentally strong.
