Spotlight on Talent: Local authors at hallmark literacy event

ALTA's Readings Under the Trees event once again showcased our exceptional local authors who have reinforced the immense richness of T&T’s literary landscape. It is remarkable that these talented individuals volunteer their time to share their work.

Due to the immense pride that ALTA has in hosting these authors, over half of the authors who graced this year's event have been part of Readings Under the Trees before. Their commitment illustrated that once you become part of the ALTA fold, whether as a student, volunteer, or author, you become part of our ALTA nation.

The photo, featuring quotes from returning authors Michelle Borel, Jilean Fabien, and Arielle John, serves as a testament to the vibrant literary community that thrives under a canopy of sheltering foliage.

For those who missed the opportunity to hear these authors this year, there's no need to fret, as Readings Under the Trees has secured a permanent slot on the ALTA calendar. We can’t wait to give you the opportunity to experience the joy of hearing talented authors again next year.
