Take a bold step in your business this week
feel the fear and do it anyway.
One of my favorite quotes - and something I try to truly live by, both in my personal life and business.
From experience, stepping out of your comfort zone is where the real growth and fun happens.
Before I dive deeper, watch a short video here: https://bit.ly/40RHygG
Have you ever gone skiing? Well, skiing can be scary, especially if you're in fourth grade and have never gone off a 40-meter jump before!
Did you see how terrified the little girl was at the start? Yet she pushed past her fear, overcame the obstacles and in the end, she was ecstatic. Nothing beats the feeling of overcoming fear!!
I feel this little girl can truly teach us entrepreneurs a thing or two when running a business.
Let’s do a little throwback…. In 2019, my business was stagnant. My bank account dwindling! I knew I had to do something. I had to make a change.
So, I stepped out of my comfort zone and I hosted my first ever paid event in Dublin City, Ireland. And at the time, I had no audience, not to mind an offer to sell.
But I knew speaking and events were the most effective way to get all my ideal clients into one room and either
1) Turn them into paying clients

2) Turn them into raving fans.
For 3 months I was ‘humming and hawing’ about whether or not to host the event in my name. But somehow I got the courage! I couldn’t sit and wait for clients to come to me.
I had to work hard for every. single. ticket sale. And I know you’re thinking to yourself it was “only” 16 tickets, meaning “only” 16 people needed to be ‘convinced to buy’ but because I had no real sales plan, I found it VERY overwhelming.
However, once I got on stage I fell in love with hosting events on my very own stage. The energy was ELECTRIC.
At the end my call to action was to get everyone to fill out a form to book a call with me as I had no offer
On the sales calls I closed offers totalling €20k!
My top tip? Use this as a sign to take action, feel the fear and do it anyway!!!
So, in 2023, do you intend to stay in the safe zone? Are you only doing what makes you feel comfortable... and as a result, your business isn't growing? There is a link between the two! 👏🏼
What often sets a good ‘entrepreneur’ apart from others, is their willingness to do things that most of us fear.
