Not too many accept it: Yearning for Acceptance!

Beauty, strength, self-confidence, happiness, etc., attributes that in some way make us desirable or better said acceptable. I wonder, how aware we are of everything we do every day looking to be simply accepted. Since we get up, we go to the bathroom, we look in the mirror ... looking for our best face, to show the world.

Acceptance, one of the three great desires inherent in every human being.

Nobody, I repeat, absolutely nobody wants to be rejected, therefore nobody is deliberately sad, insecure, in other words "ugly".

I would dare to assure that whoever says "no”, only does it to pretend something that in some way makes him/her acceptable.

Nobody thinks, "I'm going to buy an ugly car," or dreams of living in a sad house, or having an unpleasant wife/husband. On the contrary, the longing for acceptance makes us look for money, which in some way helps us buy "beautiful things", which help us to be ACCEPTED.

Actually, we just have to go deeper and find out what is our true motivation for the things we do, including all our effort at work, or even in our studies, getting degrees and achieving professions. Sometimes to please our parents, other times in order to find a place in society.

Maybe that's the reason why politicians cling to power, simply power gives them the feeling of being accepted, and when they get it, they don’t want to lose it.

Lying, what are we doing? Is not just another way to avoid rejection? Why are we lying? Why don’t say just the truth? Maybe, if they know the truth, they will reject me?

I left this thought to the end, mainly because I believe that it contains what we really want: To be accepted, means, to be loved, for what we are, with our weaknesses and flaws, with our imperfections and inconsistencies. What I mean, is that, deeper is just a simple child who wants to be watched and approved by who really matter. In other words, it is also in us to give acceptance to those around us, those that you really love.

It means when you find somebody “who really loves you no matter what”, then you do not need to lie or hide anymore. You can be yourself, and be happy with it!
