Wellspect HealthCare adds new line extension to winning portfolio
Building on its popular bladder care portfolio, which saw the introduction of the world’s first intermittent catheter, Wellspect HealthCare announced this week the roll-out of a new line extension to its LoFric Origo catheter range. The new line extension, LoFric Origo Sleeve, builds on a non-touch technique.
“In a world of improving technologies and evolving customer needs, we continue to roll-out new products to secure a winning portfolio that meets customers’ needs. Our latest product release, LoFric Origo Sleeve, simplifies handling. It is designed for men with limited hand dexterity as well as men who are more mindful of hygiene,” says Olivia Uddenberg, Global Head of the Urology Platform at Wellspect.
The new product is part of Wellspect’s LoFric Origo range – which has been very appreciated among users and healthcare professionals since its launch some ten years ago. The range includes a variety of catheter sizes, tips and gripping solutions. All catheters have a unique and patented Urotonic™ Surface Technology, which ensures smooth catheterization and long-term urethral health.
In the case of LoFric Origo Sleeve, a thin cover that runs along the catheter tube forms a protective sleeve that allows for more hygienic handling. This is because the sleeve can be moved up and down without touching the catheter tube itself.
“Finding the best catheter fit renders the whole catheterization process as smooth and gentle as possible. LoFric Origo’s wide product range allows more men to find a suitable catheter for their needs,” concludes Olivia.
