Dear Daughters, Granddaughters, and Supporters of Team K and T

I want to start by acknowledging the problematic emotional toll the recent U.S. election has taken on many of us. As we face this loss together, I want to remind you that you are not alone in your pain. It's okay to mourn and grieve—our feelings are valid, and we are all entitled to express them. This outcome may feel like a profound disappointment for many, especially those who supported Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim.

When a daughter hurts, a father often cries in silence. And today, I cry with you, the soul of my mom, my daughter, Smita. I feel your pain and am here to walk you through it.

Taking Care of Yourself in Difficult Times

During challenging moments like this, it's essential to prioritize your well-being. You are vital to your family, your community, and the world. In times of emotional struggle, caring for your body and mind is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Here are a few steps to support your healing:

•    Hydration: Drink plenty of water (sipping hot water, ADRxSynergy, or calm tea) to stay well and optimally hydrated.

•    Nutrition: Focus on plant-based, easily digestible, and mild laxative foods that can help calm your digestion and calm your brain

•    Movement: Practice gentle yoga or take walks in nature. Allow your body to heal and your mind to find peace.

•    Breathing: Deep breathing and meditation can help reduce stress and bring clarity. (Life in Yoga practices)

•    Connection: Reach out to those who care about you. Spend time with loved ones, whether in person or virtually, and seek comforting conversations that lift your spirit.

Remember: time heals all wounds, and self-care is an act of love for yourself and those around you. You are precious, and your well-being matters.

Managing Anger and Frustration

It's no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic, corporate greed, and rising costs for essentials have increased frustration across the country. Many people are angry about the current situation, including the challenges of growing food and gas prices, and some of that anger has been directed toward President Biden and his administration.

It’s also true that third-party candidates contributed to the election outcomes of 2016 and 2024, dividing the electorate and shaping the political landscape. Elections are by nature filled with risks and uncertainties, and unfortunately, the influence of mega-donors and misinformation has only added to the sense of division.

Both parties and their supporters have faced significant challenges, and we must strive to separate fact from fiction. Even in adversity, many continue to endorse the values of compassion, kindness, and progress. Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim’s campaign attracted nearly 68 million votes, a testament to the many Americans who value their vision and leadership.

The Power of Forgiveness and Moving Forward

In the wake of any election, it's easy to become consumed by anger, frustration, or resentment. But it’s important to remember that forgiveness is not a sign of weakness—it’s a strength tool. It allows us to heal, let go of negative emotions, and move forward with peace in our hearts. People will always have differing beliefs and opinions, and that’s okay. How we respond to those differences with grace and understanding matters most.

Forgiving yourself and others is essential for emotional healing and growth. It's about releasing the grip of anger and resentment to reclaim your peace.

You Are Not Alone

Please remember that you are supported, loved, and valued throughout this journey. You have the unwavering guidance of the Supreme Creator, the expertise of compassionate healing professionals, and the love of your family and friends—whether they share your views. We are all connected, and we will find a path forward together.

Consider contacting holistic health coaches like me or joining a community for support. You don’t have to go through this alone. LA Fitness offers a free three-day pass, and Life in Yoga offers free online sessions to help your emotional well-being. These are great opportunities to connect, heal, and strengthen in a shared community.

Reassurance and Hope

Positive thinking can make it easy when the world feels heavy. However, I encourage you to seek positive conversations with strangers, spiritual guides, or trusted coaches. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, help broaden your perspective, and remind you of the good in the world. Through these uplifting interactions, hope and optimism can grow.

Your mental health is vital. Take the time you need to heal. Prioritize self-care, talk to those you trust, and know things will improve quickly. You are a part of something much more significant than this moment, and your presence is a blessing to us all.

We will heal together.
