Why Buying a Maserati has MADE me Money !

Why Buying a Maserati has MADE me Money !

When I first bought my Maserati and even the days before I purchased the Maserati, I was told it’s a dumb purchase.

It’s a waste of money.

Save your money, get something cheap.

You can’t afford it.

You’re throwing money away.

You get the point by now.

But of course, I didn’t listen to any of the outside noise.

I’ve had my mind set on getting a Maserati 2.5 years before I could afford to buy the car.

My Maserati has made me money in a few ways.

1.)    Confidence – me purchasing this $90,000 dream car of mine has given me confidence. The confidence to not listen to outside noise. When I first talked about wanting a Maserati and then eventually talked about actually getting the Maserati, I was told it was IMPOSSIBLE by everyone, family, friends, and everyone in between. So actually achieving something I was told was IMPOSSIBLE to have by everyone, even those closest to me, gave me a massive confidence boost in myself and my own abilities. This confidence has over poured into many other aspects of my life that has helped me achieve more success.

2.)    Motivation – there is nothing like being 23 years old and getting in and turning on your Maserati engine which is in fact made by Ferrari. NOTHING. Every time I get in my Maserati I’m motivated to achieve more. I achieved what others have told me was “impossible” and something that most will go their whole lives being unable to ever achieve, it forces me to now think, what other “impossible” things can I now achieve. Being in the car pushes me constantly for more because I know its not my ceiling, it’s just the start.

3.)    Perception – yes, people who see you in a nice car like a Maserati will assume you do well and are good at what you do. Luckily for me, it’s the truth, I was able to afford this car because I AM good at what I do. But because people relate the outbound success of an achievement with your performance, it has opened business opportunities that otherwise I would not have had. If people see 2 people pull up; 1 in an old rusty Honda and the other in a Maserati who both do the same thing, right from the start their going to project in their minds the person with the Maserati does better, it builds an internal layer of trust before you even talk or pitch them.

4.)    Respect/Proximity – having an expensive car like a Maserati at a young age has given me the respect of older business people because they understand the hard work it takes a self-made person to be able to achieve such a luxury. They respect the work ethic and grind it took me to achieve it and it puts me on more equal footing with other successful people. It’s a great topic of conversation and it levels the playing field even if I’m younger because it shows them a part of themselves through me because I’m hungry and push to achieve such goals. For successful people seeing someone young who is also self-made, have a car like this, they understand the amount of hard work that must have been put in to achieve it.

5.)    Enjoyment – a car like this keeps you accountable to work hard in order to continually afford it but it is also enjoyable. Every time I get in my car it’s a reset and refresh of my mind to remind myself of what I’ve accomplished and how much more I can achieve and how many more things I can have in life that I can enjoy if I keep working hard. It’s become my safe place. Working so much on my business, I find myself in my car driving to meetings often and I get to enjoy each ride from the fruits of my labor.

So, in short, my Maserati has made me money both directly and indirectly.

If you want something nice, that’s expensive that people say you can’t afford, don’t need, or that it’s a waste.

Don’t listen to them if you truly want it and understand the leverage it can create in your life.

Do what is right for you. Life is short, work hard constantly to be able to enjoy things in life like the things you have always dreamed of achieving.
