WHY IS THE SOLUTION NOT FORTHCOMING?
There will be times in your life when you have tried everything and it seems that things are going from “bad to worse.” In fact, you may be so confused wondering “which way out.” During times like this, you may feel like quitting. DO NOT!!!!!! Go head-on with the situation and tell it to go to “hell.”
Remember Nelson Mandela? How long was he in prison? When he came out, he rose to the highest office in South Africa as its first Black President. Things got really bad for him before he found a way out!!!
Remember what happened to the Israelites when Moses demanded their release from captivity in Egypt? Pharaoh made their lives miserable. Their situation actually became worse at first!!!! However, at last, God set them FREE!!!
Let me tell you an amazing secret of life!!! Sometimes, things will get worse before they get better! That is not a news flash!!! My Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, went to the cross, and was brutally murdered before he ROSE from the dead. Guess where he is now? Sitting at the right hand side of my God. Praise God!!!!
Believe me, you may be feeling down where ever you are!!! That feeling will “pass.” Just keep moving forward.
Here is what you must do when there are no solutions in view:
1. Just keep standing. Never quit. It does not matter how you feel, refuse to quit. Your emotions may want drag you down!!! Say No!!! The greatest book on earth tells us to - just keep standing;
2. Cultivate a stubbornness towards life. Look life in the face and tell it to “back off.” I love this point. You must confront the brutal facts and be self-efficacious - knowing that one way or the other, you WILL prevail.
3. Relentlessly continue to find solutions, alternatives or ways to improvise. Make sure you gather a lot of information about the challenge and possible ways to solve the problem.
4. Exercise - go and take a walk! Get the adrenaline pumping!!!
5. Have fun - go watch a movie!!!!
6. Do something you like - read a book, etc!!
7. Be patient!!! Believe me - “this too shall come to pass.”
8. Set a goal. Pursue your dreams and passions!!!
9. Most importantly - talk to God first and those you trust, including those with expert knowledge!
I recommend that the read the book titled “Learned Optimism” by Martin Seligman, PH.D.
