The World's Top 10 Telecommunications Companies in 2018 by market value
Although several attributes and telecommunications company data could be used to distinguish the top ten, SISAROMA analysts have chosen market value as the determining factor for this list.
The world’s top 10 telecommunications companies each have a market value of more than US $ 51 billion to 228.
The only telecommunications company in this Top Ten operating in Africa is Vodafone.
It should be mentionned, however, the notable absence in this ranking of the main leaders of the telecoms sector in Africa such as Itissalat Al Maghrib Ste SA a.k.a Maroc Telecom-Moov whose value is $ 14.5 billion (EPA: IAM), MTN Group Limited valued $ 20.84 billion (JSE: MTN), BHARTI AIRTEL for $ 24.7 billion (NSE: BHARTIARTL) and Orange Group with a capitalization of $ 46.36 billion (EPA: ORA).
As for Viettel (halotel, neXttel, bitel, movitel) which the value could not be certified after overlapping by SISAROMA’s analysts & consultants.
China Telecom Corporation Limited with its 307 million subscribers is also absent from this ranking because its valued at US $ 35.26 billion (HKG: 0728).
