Congratulations to Dr. Wei-Ting Yueh for being awarded the prestigious American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship! 🎊 This fellowship is a recognition of Dr. Yueh’s passion and tenacity for cancer research. Dr. Yueh received his bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from National Taiwan University in 2008, followed by a master’s degree in Zoology in 2012. He then moved to Kansas City, MO to complete a PhD in Biology at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in 2022 and shortly after, relocated to Philadelphia to join Dr. Neil Johnson’s lab at Fox Chase Cancer Center as a postdoctoral researcher. His current research focuses on breast cancer cells deficient in PALB2, a gene involved in DNA repair. By developing cutting-edge mouse models and conducting whole-genome CRISPR screenings, Dr. Yueh discovered novel targets that contribute to chemoresistance, providing valuable insights into the mechanisms behind it. Looking ahead, his ultimate goal is to establish his own lab, where he plans to develop innovative cancer therapies and further explore the complexities of DNA repair mechanisms. We look forward to the continued impact he will have—keep up the great work, Wei-Ting! #Postdoc #CancerResearch #ACSFellowship #NextGeneration
