Futuria Fuels are showcasing sustainable fuels developments during #LPGweek   Reliable and safe access to cleaner off-grid energy is essential for improving the quality of life for citizens all over the world. Compared to cooking with solid fuels like wood and charcoal, LPG is a safe, reliable and cleaner option. Sustainable fuels, such as bioLPG and rDME, take this even further.    Futuria Fuels are collaborating across industry and academia, Advancing Energy Together to decarbonise liquid gas for our customers. One recent breakthrough collaboration is with UK-based technology company, HiiROC. Together, we have validated a pathway to produce clean hydrogen from LPG or sustainable bioLPG.   In addition to producing affordable and clean hydrogen, the process produces solid carbon. This valuable byproduct has many useful applications, such as increasing the durability of tyres and enhancing the performance of road surfacing.   HiiROC CEO, Tim Davies, says, "HiiROC is delighted to be working with Futuria Fuels, proving that LPG can be an effective and affordable carrier of low-carbon hydrogen for off-grid energy applications – produced at the point of use and avoiding the need for expensive and complex hydrogen transport and storage." #LPGweek #sustainablefuels #collaboration #HiiROC

The theme of last week's Liquid Gas UK annual conference was about renewable liquid gases for the future and how they will support homes & businesses in the UK. It was, therefore, a great moment to talk about the role of bioLPG and other sustainable molecules, such as rDME.    Futuria Fuels remains dedicated to delivering both bioLPG and rDME molecules to the UK in 2025, whilst continuing to build partnerships for the development of 'on-purpose' production processes.   #LGUKCardiff24 #bioLPG #rDME #sustainablemolecules #rural

Last week, Futuria Fuels attended several engaging sessions during a visit to Brazil. It was a great moment to join the World Biogas Association and witness the major accelerated growth of biogas already happening across Brazil. This growth in biogas availability and continued development gives opportunity for large volumes of feedstock to enable the on-purpose production for off-grid sustainable molecules, such as bioLPG.   As members of Clean Energy Ministerial Biofuture Campaign, Futuria Fuels also participated in numerous side-events and roundtable discussions to facilitate dialogue on the subjects of carbon accounting, bioresources availability and future fuels deployment. Congratulations to all our colleagues at GASPOL on reaching a great milestone and becoming the latest SHV Energy business to introduce bioLPG to both existing and future customers.   SHV Energy, pioneered the introduction of bioLPG in 2018. Since then, it has proven to be an effective, sustainable alternative. By comparison to LPG sourced from fossil fuels, bioLPG results in around 80% less CO2.    To enable the continued growth and availability of sustainable molecules, such as bioLPG, Futuria Fuels are working with partners to develop processes for on-purpose production, utilising locally available feedstocks.   #bioLPG #sustainablemolecules   

Excellent week in Chicago tcbiomass, The International Conference on Thermochemical Conversion Science. Futuria Fuels were delighted to share expertise and opportunities for the on-purpose production of bioLPG, using a wide range of sustainable feedstocks. A highlight being the route of converting bioethanol into bioLPG, whilst also sharing the challenges to be expected on the journey to achieving a pilot plant. Our collaboration GTI Energy and Drochaid Research Services has seen this promising pathway continue to progress.
