🎓Outstanding Graduate Angel Martinez aimed to find a field that aligned with her love for problem-solving and making an impact. That determination led her to major in human systems engineering program, where she collaborated with students from different engineering disciplines and explored research on multitasking and multimedia learning. Her time as a community assistant proved to be a valuable learning experience, enabling her to help fellow students navigate residential life. 🎓Outstanding Graduate Nicole Slaughter is earning a degree in graphic information technology, specializing in user experience design. With a background in digital marketing and customer service, she leveraged ASU’s flexible online platform to refine her skills without interrupting her career. Guided by mentor and Assistant Teaching Professor benjie wilhelm, Nicole mastered a wide range of design tools. Now, as the director of digital content and marketing at Health Street, she is dedicated to creating seamless, user-centric digital experiences that improve lives globally. 🎉Congratulations Nicole Slaughter! #ASUEngineering #ASUGrad https://lnkd.in/gBqn4a9z

🎓 Impact Award winner Katie Stains pursued her passion in the graphic information technology program. She gained hands-on experience as part of the GIT Creative Agency, where she served as a designer and creative director for impactful projects, including a hackathon sponsored by the CIA. Seeing the impact of her work in real-life scenarios was a highlight of Katie's educational journey. She credits Assistant Teaching Professor Kassidy Breaux for encouraging her to step outside her comfort zone. 🎓Outstanding Graduate and undergraduate convocation speaker Javier R. Aguirre Martinez exemplifies service, leadership and determination. A Barrett, The Honors College student and veteran, he earned a 4.0 GPA while majoring in technological entrepreneurship and management and minoring in real estate. 🇺🇸Outside of class, Javier worked at the Pat Tillman Veterans Center, served as president of the Polytechnic Student Veterans Club, and taught financial literacy and entrepreneurship to others. Upon graduation, Javier will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. 🎓 Information technology Outstanding Graduate Alaa Eltahir is passionate about the field’s wide range of skills, from cybersecurity to web development. Named a fall 2024 Outstanding Graduate, she excelled academically while leading initiatives with the National Society of Black Engineers and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Alaa is continuing her journey in the Accelerated Master’s program, specializing in information security.
