  • How can cities combat climate risks, foster biodiversity, and promote well-being while ensuring financial feasibility? The Islington Council and our team are paving the way—quite literally—by converting unused dead end streets into vibrant “pocket parks.” Through a groundbreaking blended financing framework, this initiative is more than just urban greening; it's a model for sustainable, community-focused urban transformation. With 10 parks underway and over 250 potential sites identified, the project demonstrates how public-private partnerships can deliver measurable social, environmental, and economic benefits. 💡 Did you know? These parks help mitigate urban heat islands, reduce stormwater runoff, and even lower healthcare costs—all while fostering a sense of community.
