Neither Vishal nor his team has released an official statement regarding his health. The pre-release event, however, was attended by the film's cast and crew. Actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar, who is also the wife of director Sundar C, graced the occasion and greeted Vishal warmly with a hug.

Madha Gaja Raja features a star-studded cast, including Santhanam, Anjali, Sonu Sood, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and the late Manobala. Directed by Sundar C, the film was initially slated for release in 2013 but faced a decade-long delay due to financial and legal complications. It is now finally scheduled to hit theaters on January 12, 2025 after 12 years of delay.
