As seasoned wildlife travellers in South Africa and having the privilege of having visited many a private lodge in our beautiful country, this was by far our best experience ever. I say with the greatest respect to all the other lodges we have attended and the staff and guides who have made our previous trips special. I cannot begin to describe the trip we have just had at Kapama Karula camp. The entire experience from the booking and personal requests to the accommodation and food was faultless. The engagement with the chefs and their attention to detail with your own butler to attend to your culinary needs was perfect... and this was just the start. The accommodation is probably the best we have had with our own private pool overlooking the Klaserie river provides a welcomed relief in the midday sun as you watch the birds and antelope pass by. Our guides Justice and Tumi just were exceptional taking this wildlife engagement and experience to a level we have not had before. Their skill, knowledge and engagement were match with their sense of humour which made for a very unique experience making you want to come back just to be on their vehicle. A most fantastic and unique experience and one i would never have the trouble to recommend. Do this you will never be disappointed.

Easily the best holiday we have ever been on. Incredible food, wine and service! The game drives were out of this world! Michael and Tulani made a great team and we managed to see the big 5 multiple times. The atmosphere at the hotel is so peaceful, everything has been thought of and it exceeded our expectations. We will be back and I will be recommending Kapama to all my friends and family. Truly the most incredible experience, couldn’t have asked for a better trip - Thank you!

Wow! Staying at the Safari Moon was an amazing experience! It is like staying as an honored guest at a luxurious private home. There are only 7-8 beautiful and large en suite rooms (if that) and we were the only ones during our off-season stay. The staff is exceptional - so polite, so accommodating, so eager-to-please. Our meals were delicious and beautiful, served in a delightful open-air dining room and/or packed to eat on safari. Staff always checked with our 7-year-old before dinner to be sure she had something she wanted to eat. Outstanding bar. We saw Kudu and Warthogs roaming just outside the premises. This is NOT the Four Seasons, so don't expect that, but it is a totally 5-star luxury experience.
