The 2024 UNAIDS GLOBAL AIDS UPDATE report is out, and it sheds light on crucial issues around accessing HIV services and solutions. At SAHTAC, we are committed to advocating for life-saving health technologies and innovations for all. The report highlights key challenges such as underinvestment in HIV prevention, persistent stigma and discrimination, and gender inequalities. These barriers hinder effective HIV prevention and treatment, especially for key populations. We stand by the report’s call to action and continue to advocate for harmonised and improved regulatory systems, increased funding, and strong political and social support. Together, we can hold our government accountable and ensure that powerful prevention technologies like long-acting injectables are made available swiftly and affordably to those who need them most. Read the full report below, noting the section on Accessing HIV Services and Solutions on page 32. #GlobalAIDSUpdate2024 #TheUrgencyOfNow #AIDSAtACrossroads
