We were honored to be asked to participate in the NGO-ECHA Dialogue in Helsinki last week, which allowed us - as accredited stakeholders - to exchange priorities for the coming years with the European Chemicals Agency. ECHA Executive Director Dr Sharon McGuinness and colleagues took the time to really listen to what #NGOs have to say. We truly appreciated this, plus the fact that Chair of the Risk Assessment Committee Roberto Scazzola subjected himself to the first Q&A session! 😅 It was an incredibly valuable opportunity to come together with other NGOs and ECHA to discuss how to work together to achieve the goals of European Commission's Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. Thank you to the organizers for having our colleague Matiss Reinfelds in Helsinki!

This week, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear colleague, Salja Tahiraj. Our journey with her began when she joined as a student intern and evolved into a valuable partnership during her contract supporting our EU-funded projects, which has now reached its conclusion. She made significant contributions in researching the safety and sustainability of chemicals and advanced materials. She was vital in our scientific communications team, creating engaging videos and enhancing our social media presence, along with developing insightful surveys and quizzes on nanotechnologies.   Salja, we have greatly valued your dedication and eagerness to learn. As we say goodbye, we celebrate your accomplishments and wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
