Today marks the final day of #16DaysOfActivismAgainstGenderBasedViolence to support women and girls experiencing gender-based violence. During this time our small team along with 90+ volunteers: ✨️Launched 3 new shifts in Western Sydney ✨️Unveiled 1 new van with the support of Snow Foundation ✨️Held 7 pamper events to ensure the women we saw, felt seen and heard ✨️Attended 3 vigils to honour the 96 women murdered this year ✨️Joined 2 walks against gender-based violence ✨️Distributed 200 #sharethedignity bags ✨️Raised awareness and funds to continue our work connecting with women experiencing domestic violence, loneliness and/or homelessness. #16Days may have ended but we will continue to advocate for women's safety and humanity in the face of men's violence. Last Sunday, 4 Voices CEO Jo Westh, and National Operations Manager Rhiannon Warby had the absolute pleasure of connecting with Turbans 4 Australia (T4A) at their wonderful community event in Clyde, NSW. The event provided complimentary grocery hampers, free Christmas decorations, and clothing to those in need. Amar Singh JP, the President and Founder of T4A, has been dedicated to supporting Australians from all walks of life while also promoting multiculturalism and religious tolerance since 2015. This incredible charity is doing amazing work in our community, and we are proud to have partnered with them. 4 Voices will be launching new frontline services in Western Sydney, starting with #Blacktown on the 7th and #Paramatta on the 8th of December. We provide judgement-free support to at-risk women and girls. Whether it's safety, food, shelter or connection to other services, we help women with what they need, and we're pleased to have the opportunity to connect with more women and girls in the Western suburbs of Sydney soon. #4voices #T4A #Support #Community #Partnership

As part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which commences this Monday, November 25, we are starting our 730km journey today from Brisbane to Sydney, in honor of the women who have tragically lost their lives to gender-based violence. Throughout this campaign, we will participate in key events and launch new face-to-face services for women and girls in Sydney’s western suburbs. It also marks the start of the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Thanks to the invaluable support of the Snow Foundation, we are honouring the UN-led awareness campaign by 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆. We will use the launch and ongoing events throughout the 16 days to highlight the ever-increasing threat of violence against women in Australia.
