For me, Melanie’s keynote reframed the whole notion of capitalism, introducing governance concepts such as “golden shares”, the removal of financial extraction and when applied deliberately, how not for profits can act as market disruptors. Exciting stuff, the more I learn about business for good the more interesting it becomes.

Coolkids Innovation were very privileged to hear the amazing Dr Melanie Rieiback speak at the South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC) #businessforgood conference. Melanie discussed Post Growth Entrepreneurship, an entrepreneurial methodology for creating non‐extractive social businesses. Melanie - co‐founder of Radically Open Security and a Post Growth startup incubator Nonprofit Ventures, will make you question everything that you know about entrepreneurship, provide practical tools for building something different, and offer you a blue pill and a red pill.
