Holiday traditions come in all shapes and sizes, and a non negotiable of the Adelaide team's is our annual Backpacks 4 SA Kids Christmas Program Donations. Backpacks 4 SA Kids supports children entering foster care or crisis situations by providing backpacks filled with essential items like clothing, toiletries, and everyday necessities. These packs are designed to meet immediate needs and assist with a smoother transition during challenging times. Led by Executive Director and State Lead Daniel Muirhead, the Adelaide team contributes annually to the Christmas Program, donating toys and gifts to support children displaced from their homes during the holiday season. North Connect 2024 | A night of connection with our Brisbane team The North leaders shared an afternoon of networking with our brilliant Brisbane team to strengthen relationships and explore the expanded skills, services, and sector offerings now available to the Queensland market. EXCEPTIONAL OUTCOMES TOGETHER AT NORTH CONNECT 2024 Reflecting on the transformative year North has experienced, a standout moment was our inaugural North Connect Conference, where we united our leadership team from across all regions. This gathering was centred around aligning on our values, purpose, and strategic growth plan for 2030. Our goal was clear: to understand and harness the diverse capabilities within our business, networking, and challenge ideas to unlock new possibilities for North. Our leaders gained a renewed sense of purpose and an aligned strategy to deliver exceptional value to our clients through innovation, collaboration, and fresh approaches—setting the stage for a lasting impact on the industry. Exceptional People A key highlight was the opportunity for our leaders to connect with the local Brisbane team following our successful integration in July. This not only strengthened relationships but also allowed the team to explore the expanded skills, services, and sector offerings now available to the Queensland market. Client Outcomes We hosted a client panel discussion that provided invaluable insights into why our clients continue to choose North as their trusted partner and where we can improve. It was an open dialogue that allowed our clients to meet our leadership team, understand our purpose, and see first-hand why we’re passionate about what we do. Digital Excellence @ North As we charted new growth opportunities—including potential services, sectors, and geographical expansions—we also focused on digital innovation. Led by Josh Symonds, Director of MI Digital Services, we explored how to leverage data and the digital landscape for greater impact. Insights from David Askie, Daniyal Mian PhD, and Jude Kiely highlighted immediate opportunities to deliver digital value to clients and continue setting new benchmarks. Giving Back, TOGETHER The conference concluded with a team-building initiative led by Corporate Challenge Events, where we worked together to build bicycles for the "Bikes for Tykes" program, supporting local children in need. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back and the strength of collective effort.    As we look ahead, the energy and insights from North Connect will undoubtedly propel us forward in achieving our ambitious goals, and we look forward to sharing this with out clients and industry peers. It's a new month, and we've got some fresh faces! The "North Mo-vengers" proudly joined the global Movember movement last month, raising awareness and funds for men’s health by growing moustaches, getting active, and sparking important conversations. We proudly raised $4,860 and moved a total of 1,669 kilometres as a united team. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us – from donating to cheering on our Mo-growing and moving efforts. 'Tis the season of giving back and connecting with the community! Last week the North team volunteered at Foodbank Victoria and helped pack 40 orders for Foodbank's charity partners, which is more than 9,184 kilos and the equivalent of 18,269 meals for families in need. Foodbank Victoria have been providing vital food relief for more than 90 years, they feed over 65,000 people a day living in our cities, towns and local neighbourhoods. Thank you to the amazing volunteers at Foodbank Victoria for giving us the opportunity to give back, connect and learn how to use the pallet jack! The Asset Management Council supports professional recognition, collaboration and information sharing that contributes to a common understanding of the value of effective asset management. A conversation can save a life. North celebrated #RUOKDay2024 with lots of chatter across our teams and networks this week; whether it was about the touch of yellow we chose to wear, a coffee with a colleague from a different team, or a conversation about when the last time we had chocolate freckles was.
