In a thrilling show of determination, skill and teamwork, the NRLW Cronulla Sharks kept the dream alive until the final moments of the 2024 season, to be crowned Runners Up in their first-ever National Rugby League Women’s Grand Final this past weekend. 🦈 We couldn’t be more proud of their efforts. As the team’s major sponsor, Quest has stood behind these incredible athletes throughout their journey, and we celebrate their well-earned victories on the field as well as their ongoing impact as leaders, role models and champions for gender equity in sport. “It's been an amazing season and I'm so proud of the girls," captain Tiana Penitani said. “A huge thank you to Quest, who supported us on every step of our journey. We proudly took Quest into battle with us on our jerseys every game." This monumental season marks a new era for women's rugby league, showcasing the talent, resilience and dedication of the Sharks' incredible athletes, whether they’re battling it out on the field or working hard to make a difference through the Sharks Have Heart community program or the Deadly Choices Healthy Lifestyle and Wellbeing program. “These extraordinary athletes are living examples of what passion, dedication, and grit can achieve,” says Anthea Dimitrakopoulos, GAICD, General Manager, Brand and Environmental, Social, Governance at Quest. “They are powerful role models, lighting the path for the next generation of young girls to follow.” Says David Mansfield GAICD, Managing Director Ascott Australasia, “Quest is honoured to be a partner of the Cronulla Sharks NRLW team as we celebrate their success. “These women are more than just sporting heroes, they are paving the way for a more inclusive society where everyone is welcome, a value Quest is passionate about delivering for our guests.” This has been the first season in Quest’s partnership with the Cronulla Sharks and, as Cronulla Sharks CEO, Dino Mezzatesta, says, “we’ve only just begun.” "Just like Quest, our NRLW players are trailblazers who are setting an example for generations to come. We are extremely proud of what our organisations have achieved on and off the field in 2024 and look forward to an exciting future.” Congratulations to the club and team on such a successful year, and bring on 2025!!! 🏉 #QuestApartmentHotels #Quest #TheAscottLimited #Ascott #CronullaSharks

🦈 🖤🤍💙 What a moment for the National Rugby League Cronulla Sharks Women's Team! We are incredibly proud of our team and are beyond excited to celebrate their remarkable journey to the NRLW Grand Final, playing this Sunday at Accor Stadium in Sydney, in only their second season! At Quest, we believe in the power of our values, passion, and teamwork to achieve the best and these talented athletes embody that spirit every day on and off the field. Their drive and unity have brought them this far, and we can’t wait to see them shine in the final match on Sunday! This moment is about much more than just a game. It’s also about inspiring young girls and women, and showing that there’s nothing you can’t reach for. As captain Tiana Penitani told Quest earlier this year, “Growing up, I was idolising the men's players. It's not until I look back now that I realise there weren't any role models for me to look up to. That drums home how important our roles as current players are, and the messages that we send to the younger generation.” It’s this very sense of dedication that saw Tiana pick up the Dally M Captain of the Year Award last night in Sydney. To see a Cronulla Sharks player win one of the highest accolades for the Women's league is recognition of the strong culture at the Cronulla Sharks Club, as is halfback Nicho Hynes’ win of the Ken Stephen Community Medal. Nicho is committed to mental health advocacy and supporting communities in need, and works hard to have a positive impact on the lives of many Australians. It’s a proud moment for the Cronulla Sharks, and as a major sponsor of the club we share that pride. Now, let’s rally together to cheer on the Sharks Women on Sunday, as they face off against the Sydney Roosters from 3.55pm. Go Sharkies! 🦈 💪

The Paralympics is in full swing with Quest ambassador and four-time Olympian Cate Campbell onboard to commentate the swimming for Nine.   Cate’s career success and passion for inclusivity, not just in sports but in all aspects of life, makes her an obvious choice to be a Paralympics commentator. Cate's brother, Hamish, has cerebral palsy, and, as Cate told the The Sydney Morning Herald in May, “I have seen first-hand the challenges that community faces, but also know what a wonderful, inspiring and uplifting place it is. That’s one of the reasons that I’m so excited to be involved in the Paralympics, is we get to expose more people to that community. We get to celebrate people who are often marginalised, who are often silenced.”   Quest is proud to be doing our bit to serve people with accessibility needs and their carers and families — we now have 80 Quest properties independently accredited by Accessible Accommodation (The Accessible Group). Accreditation allows guests with accessible needs to make informed decisions about where they will stay, knowing properties have been thoroughly vetted and meet high standards based on the level of accessible support they need. You can see an example of an accreditation seal below and find out more here: https://lnkd.in/dHCgpznf   Join us and watch the action unfold at the Paralympics this week and cheer on our sporting heroes over in Paris. It’s all about the moments that matter – and at Quest, creating those moments is our driving mission.   #Paralympics #Quest #QuestApartmentHotels #TheAscottLimited #AscottAustralia

Show your support for women in sport by voting for Emma Tonegato to win the Veronica White Medal for her work in the community! 💙🖤🤍   Emma is undeniably a force for good. The NRLW Cronulla Sharks five-eighth is passionate about making rugby league more inclusive, and has steered numerous programs for the club aimed at increasing access to the sport for people living with disability. Emma is also a National Rugby League Wheelchair Ambassador and is committed to inspiring and mentoring girls who are keen to play. 🦈   “I tell kids, ‘Push the envelope, go to training, have a go. You won't know unless you try it.’ It’s something that I've learned throughout my career: you've just got to say yes.” 🫶   The Medal recognises women rugby league players who give their all to both their local communities and the game. Quest is a proud sponsor of the Sharks and the Official Partner of the club’s community initiative, Sharks Have Heart, and we know that Emma deserves to take this medal home.    Here’s what you need to do: take two seconds to vote at this link: https://lnkd.in/dGuyGGT   Vote today! 🗳️

  • We at Quest Collingwood are deeply honoured to have had the opportunity to partner with St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne East Melbourne Kids Ward and to contribute to such a meaningful cause. We're thrilled that the breastfeeding chairs we donated have made a positive impact, providing comfort to families during their stay.   This initiative builds on the success of our Christmas Toy Appeal in December. We also offer special rates to those visiting the hospital and donate a portion back to St Vincent's Private Hospital, East Melbourne Kids Ward. We look forward to continuing our fantastic local collaboration.
