The Redpath team enjoyed interacting with high school students from North Bay and area during the 2025 Mine Opportunity Challenge this week, including showing them how to operate a jumbo simulator at our booth. What a great way to put the mining industry on the "radar screens" for these enthusiastic students, who will be starting their working lives before too long! Running water at last! PT Redpath Indonesia (PTRI) together with Sangati Soerya Sejahtera (Sangati) recently completed a well in the city of Timika on the southern coast of Central Papua, Indonesia. The well now provides clean water to the school and church complex which are mainly used by the Indigenous Kamoro community. Sangati and Redpath representatives attended the joyful inauguration along with students and members of the church and surrounding community. This was the second community outreach initiative by Sangati and PTRI. The first project was in Iwaka in Central Papua in August, when the two companies provided free eye examinations and eyeglasses, as well as supplied healthy food for pregnant women and children, and malaria diagnostic tests. PTRI and Sangati will continue to spearhead initiatives that benefit communities in Indonesia, especially in Central Papua. #RedpathMining #PTRedpathIndonesia #esg #csr #water ------------------------------------------------- Enfin de l’eau courante ! PT Redpath Indonesia (PTRI) et Sangati Soerya Sejahtera (Sangati) ont récemment terminé un puits dans la ville de Timika, sur la côte sud de la Papouasie centrale, en Indonésie. Le puits fournit maintenant de l’eau potable à l’école et au complexe de l’église qui sont principalement utilisés par la communauté autochtone Kamoro. Des représentants de Sangati et de Redpath ont assisté à l’inauguration joyeuse avec des étudiants et des membres de l’église et de la communauté environnante.   Il s’agit de la deuxième initiative de sensibilisation communautaire de Sangati et PTRI. Le premier projet a été réalisé à Iwaka, en Papouasie centrale, en août, lorsque les deux entreprises ont fourni gratuitement des examens oculaires et des lunettes, ainsi que des aliments sains pour les femmes enceintes et les enfants, et des tests de diagnostic du paludisme.   Le PTRI et Sangati continueront à mener des initiatives qui profitent aux communautés en Indonésie, en particulier en Papouasie centrale.

The December Safety Theme for Redpath's Americas division is “Personal Protective Equipment”. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) refers to clothing and gear that is specifically designed to protect workers from hazards that can cause injury or illness in the workplace. It is important to choose the appropriate PPE based on work environment and task to mitigate risks effectively. PPE is just one element of the Redpath Safety Program which is composed of a variety of strategies to maintain a safe and healthy workplace. It does not reduce the hazard itself, nor does it guarantee permanent or total protection. Ensuring our workers have the proper training on how and when to use PPE combined with other control measures, safety procedures and guidelines is crucial to Redpath’s success. ____________________________ Le thème de sécurité du mois de décembre pour la division des Amériques de Redpath est « l'équipement de protection individuelle ». L'équipement de protection individuelle (EPI) désigne les vêtements et l'équipement spécialement conçus pour protéger les travailleurs contre les dangers qui peuvent causer des blessures ou des maladies en milieu de travail. Il est important de choisir l'EPI approprié en fonction de l'environnement de travail et de la tâche à accomplir afin de réduire les risques de manière efficace. L'EPI n'est qu'un élément du programme de sécurité Redpath, qui fait appel à diverses stratégies pour maintenir un milieu de travail sain et sécuritaire. Il ne réduit pas le danger en soi et ne garantit pas une protection permanente ou totale. Derek is a seasoned and passionate mine safety leader and advocate with close to 40 years of experience in the industry. Mission accomplished! Innu Inuit Redpath Limited Partnership (IIR) is proud to have contributed to the completion and commissioning of Vale Base Metals’ Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in northern Labrador, Canada. The project transitioned the mine from open pit to underground mining. Innu Inuit Redpath Limited Partnership - a strategic partnership between Redpath, Innu Development Limited Partnership and Nunatsiavut Group of Companies - has been at Voisey’s Bay since 2018, developing two new mines which included four portals, approximately 13 kms of drifts and permanent underground infrastructure.
