  • Children have a voice and deserve to be heard. Children thrive when they feel safe and experience connection. As a response to the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran suicide Resolute Ready One Stop. One Call. One life. supports our serving/non serving community. To support our Defence, First Responders (serving, non serving) and their families we need to acknowledge the impact on our children, we are in the process of developing a digital Education Backpack with resources for schools and the community to access. "Navigating and accessing Education, support and understanding around Defence issues was challenging for our family. " This is why we developed the Resolute Ready Virtual Hub linking you to support services at local, national, global levels. If you would like to share what you think a child from a serving family needs to thrive email support@resoluteready.com. There is strength in unity.

  • This week, our CEO, Lidia Faranda Hall, hit Canberra to shine a spotlight on the Resolute Ready Virtual Hub! Thank you to Former Governor-General David Hurley, Matt Burnell MP, and Ken Robinson OAM for their incredible support—it’s teamwork like this that drives change! We also had some special moments, including seeing an Aussie Hero Quilts - Jan Maree gifted to Matt Burnell MP and receiving a token of appreciation from Mr Matt Anderson from the Australian War Memorial. Our Resolute Ready researcher Alan O'Connor (Veteran) had the opportunity to share his service and life experience. Together, we’re building stronger, more connected communities. 💪🇦🇺 💪 #veterans #firstresponders #DefenceFamilies

  • Remembrance Day Veterans Day USA As I stand here in the quiet of Centennial Park Cemetery, the weight of history settles softly around me. The air feels heavy with remembrance as I walk among the rows of graves, some marked with simple headstones, others with the intricate detail of military memorials. This place, with its peaceful gardens and towering trees, is a testament to lives lived, to sacrifices made. Before me lies the World War II Cemetery, where 195 brave souls rest, their graves a somber reminder of the cost of freedom. I pause to read the names etched into stone—each one a person who answered the call to serve, who fought and, in some cases, never returned. These men and women did not merely serve a nation; they gave everything for a cause much larger than themselves. Their sacrifices were not just of body and mind but of spirit, and now they rest here, together, under the Southern sky. Nearby, the Derrick Gardens stretch out, a place where thousands more lie in peace. Each grave, each marker, represents a life that touched another, a family left behind, a community forever changed. The Australian flags placed upon these graves each year by students and veterans remind us that remembrance is not just a ceremony—it is a living, breathing act of respect. I think of the Cross of Sacrifice, standing tall in the heart of the War Graves section, its shadow stretching long across the rows. It is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, a symbol of enduring gratitude and honor. Its presence here speaks not just to the past, but to the future—a reminder that while we may never fully understand the price of freedom, we must always strive to preserve it. As I stand among these memorials, I am reminded of the collective promise we carry: to remember, to reflect, and to honor those who gave so much. Here, in this serene place of rest, they remain—forever part of our shared history. We walk forward, but their legacy stays with us, guiding us in our journey of peace and remembrance. • We’re thrilled to announce that Resolute Ready: One Stop. One Call. One Life. has received an Education Backpack Grant, a game-changing initiative aimed at supporting veteran-connected children in schools! This grant will allow us to create a specialised online resource toolkit for teachers, parents, grandparents, and children, helping foster understanding, resilience and stability both in the classroom and at home. Teaching and developing a socially inclusive curriculum can be challenging, and as educators, we strive to create safe and effective learning environments. Teachers, parents and caregivers are always searching for quality resources to support a child's learning journey. Resources that address diverse needs are key. Children learn uniquely and a comprehensive toolkit helps personalise their learning experience. This adaptability supports children with learning differences, ensuring they have the tools to thrive alongside their peers. Supporting families and caregivers is just as crucial. Our toolkits will offer guidance to parents and caregivers, providing strategies to help children succeed at home and further strengthen the partnership between home and school, fostering continuous growth. Fostering lifelong learning is at the core of our mission. By instilling strong learning habits early, we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. The toolkit encourages exploration, critical thinking, and curiosity—skills that will benefit children throughout their lives. We understand that children experiencing transition and trauma are impacted on many levels. Connection is intervention. It is essential that children feel supported and connected during these pivotal moments. A heartfelt thank you to DVA Minister Matt Keogh for recognising the importance of supporting veteran families and children. His commitment reinforces our mission to empower young people affected by transition and service-related trauma, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need. We also encourage all Ministers of Education to consider adding a question on school enrollment forms to identify serving and non-serving veterans and their families. This simple step will help ensure that the Education Backpack resource toolkit can support educators and veteran families with valuable, relevant information. Thank you SA Minister for Education, Skills and Training Blair Boyer. Stay tuned for updates on the Education Backpack, and we’ll share how you can participate in this important initiative! Thank you again to the entire Resolute Ready Team for your ongoing dedication and hard work. #militaryfamilies #Veterans #australiancurriculum #education #kahlilfegan #ianlindgren #blairboyermp #mattthistlethwaite #mattkeogh #lukegosling #haleyannboswell #legacy #veteranssa #defencefamilies #k39consulting #mercymemarketing #herbertsmithfreehills #gwencherne #kenrobertson #familyadvocacy #mattburnell #adrianpederick #margrogers #annadenejkina #mesha
