"Eco-Network" is a youth led Organization that works for Environmental sustainability. Basically, we work on SDG goals which are related to environment like Climate Action (SDG 13), Clean & Renewable energy (SDG 7), Life on Land (SDG 15), Clean water & Sanitation (SDG 6). We collaborate all these 4 goals with Gender equality (SDG 5). Because we believe, if we can’t ensure equity, we can’t expect sustainable development. That’s why Eco-Network engages Youth to promote SDGs in different high schools & rural areas as well. Our main focus are teenagers & women. "Eco-network'' is founded by Shamim Ahmed Mridha from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) at 22th September in 2018. Now it is working in Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, ivory coast, Philippines, Ghana, Zimbabwe & some other Asian & African countries. Today, Eco-Network Global, in partnership with SHE for Climate and The Headlines, organized a post-COP29 debrief to share key outcomes and reflections of the 29th Conference of Parties (COP).🌍 The event brought together esteemed speakers, activists and participants from diverse countries including 🇧🇩,Nepal🇳🇵, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰,India 🇮🇳 , Pakistan 🇵🇰, 🇺🇬 , Egypt 🇪🇬 , Benin🇧🇯 , Malawi 🇲🇼 , Fiji🇫🇯 , Nigeria 🇳🇬 , Somalia 🇸🇴 , Cameroon 🇨🇲 , Liberia 🇱🇷 , Kenya 🇰🇪 , Tanzania 🇹🇿 , Bahrain 🇧🇭 , Gambia 🇬🇲 , Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 , Kenya 🇰🇪 , Ghana 🇬🇭 and Senegal 🇸🇳 . Mr. Shamim Ahmed Mridha delivered the welcome address. The speakers shared their climate journey and shared insights into the negotiation streams they followed. ❇️ Ms. Ramsha Malik, Assistant Director (Capacity Building), Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Pakistan, discussed the Response Measures, noting the establishment of a four-year work plan to address the socio-economic impacts of mitigation policies. ❇️ Ms Tahanyat Satti, Consultant, Climate Change, Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Pakistan emphasized the limited progress on National Adaptation Plans but acknowledged the launch of the Baku Adaptation Roadmap. ❇️ Ms Victoria Kinobe Nakatudde, Co-founder of Youth Career Talk Show, Uganda, expressed mixed feelings about COP29, citing advancements in carbon markets but disappointment over insufficient financial commitments for loss and damage. ❇️ Ms Dikchhya Baral, Network Coordinator, Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) pointed out inadequacies in progress on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG), highlighting the agreement on a $300 billion annual goal for 2035 but critiquing the lack of clarity on distribution mechanisms. The session was moderated by Ms. Sadia Jahan Rothi, Board Director, Exo-Network Global. The event concluded with a call for collective action and greater accountability to ensure meaningful progress in the coming years. 💚💚💚
