We closed this year’s climate summit on a high note, bringing together 18 regional governments to drive urgent climate action and push for increased climate finance. Over the week, we held 21 strategic meetings with members, partners and donors, we co-hosted 5 high-level events with partners including Scotland, Lombardy, the Catalan Government, MAIA and INBOA, and we supported 20 partner events to amplify regional voices on the global stage. Our highlights: 1️⃣ We launched the #RegionsAdapt Progress Report 2024, where we share a collection of 12 inspiring stories from our members of climate action and biodiversity leadership: https://shorturl.at/DLQL5 2️⃣ Scotland announced a £40,000 Just Resilience Fund to support vulnerable communities in the Global South through @Regions4, continuing its leadership and commitment to climate justice worldwide. 3️⃣ Rio de Janeiro joined as a founding member of ‘Regions4SDGs,’ our partnership with @UNHABITAT to fast-track the SDGs at the regional level. 4️⃣ Andalusia has officially joined #RegionsAdapt and the UN Race to Resilience, alongside Assam, Pernambuco, and Louga, bringing the total membership to 82 regions worldwide. 5️⃣ We renewed our partnership with the European Committee of the Regions to amplify local leadership on climate and resilience for 2025-2026. Now, it’s time to turn these commitments into action, ensuring that no community is left behind in the fight for a sustainable and resilient future. Thank you to all our members, partners, and allies for joining us on this journey. Let’s keep the momentum going!
