About us

Pivot Airlines is a Canadian charter and regional airline launched in June 2020, headquartered at Toronto's Pearson airport. Pivot Airlines announced its intention to enter scheduled service on September 15, 2020. To date, Pivot Airlines has played an important role in keeping the Southern Ontario economy moving and safe by providing essential service charters during COVID-19. Essential service clients include DND, RCMP, OPP, coastal patrol, ISC and several resource sector clients who depended on Pivot to provide executive and workforce transportation. On October 18, 2021, Pivot announced its intention to enter the pre-sales stage for scheduled service from Kitchener Ontario. Previously announced routes include Ottawa and Montreal, with additional domestic and transborder routes expected to commence service in early 2022. Pivot Airlines currently operates the CRJ 200 series aircraft and has announced its intention to remain with the 50 seat or larger variant of that platform for charter and scheduled service.

Remembrance Day holds a deep historical and emotional significance. As ceremonies take place throughout communities and schools today at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, we pause to remember those who lost their lives and served their country in conflicts throughout history. It’s a time to honour the bravery of service men and women, and express our gratitude as it was their sacrifices that afforded us our freedom.   Today also serves as a reminder of the importance of peace and unity, to strive for a world where conflicts are resolved without violence, so the sacrifices of the past are not in vain.   Today, we remember. Thanks to Sofia C. for the artwork. #LestWeForget #RemembranceDay . ✈️ // ✈️ . #NousNousSouviendrons

  • 𝑪𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒅𝒂'𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆, Pivot Airlines prioritize safety, innovation, and respect for all.   Our Manager of Safety, Carl Rodrigues recently completed St. John Ambulance Canada | Ambulance Saint-Jean Standard First Aid – Level C/AED, health & safety course and is First Aid certified for another three years. The course focuses on both physical and mental health. From mastering CPR techniques and understanding how to handle a sudden health emergency, to enhancing mental health awareness, including avoiding stigma, and learning how signs of an anxiety attack can mimic that of a heart attack.   "I found the training to be very thorough and practical. All of it, including understanding how to assist someone in a mental health crisis has increased my confidence, knowing that I’m providing a layer of safety for the Pivot team and our clients.”   At #Pivot we work every day to ensure excellence for our clients, passengers and team. We encourage everyone to take these vital classes.

  • Pivot Airlines Director of Human Resources Gabriella Marsala welcomed the opportunity this past week to attend the Creating Inclusive Skies conference in Toronto hosted by Jazz Aviation and Chorus Aviation, sponsored by Air Canada. It was an inspiring and insightful event where more than 40 professionals from 14 organizations across Canada discussed key topics such as accessibility for passengers and employees, reconciliation for Indigenous peoples, mental health issues within aviation workplaces, and integrating these topics into a safety culture. It was a great opportunity to learn about innovative initiatives being taken by other employers as we all face the challenges of navigating legislative requirements while educating and advocating for reconciliation, and better mental health and accessibility conditions in our workplaces. “What really stood out to me was hearing directly from people with lived experiences. I was deeply moved by an Indigenous Elder who shared the challenges he’s faced throughout his life and his advocacy within the education system to promote indigenous culture. Equally impactful was hearing a mental health educator talk about navigating Canadian airports from a mental health condition lens. Their stories were powerful reminders of how vital accessibility and inclusion are—values that we’re committed to upholding every day at Pivot. I look forward to next year to once again catch up with Jazz’s Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Manager Erica Fuhr who promotes this event annually with such passion and dedication.” #MentalHealthDay #BreaktheStigma #WorldMentalHealthDay #TruthAndReconciliationMonth #Pivot

  • At Pivot Airlines we believe in building meaningful connections within our workforce and with the communities we serve, creating a lasting positive impact while honoring local traditions. As we commemorate National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Indigenous Nations and communities and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion at Pivot.    This past July, our executive team participated in Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training led by Melanie Lizotte, B.A.(Honors), M.Ed. and Patricia Makokis, EdD of Inspired Connections Consulting. This training was a humbling experience that deepened our understanding of the historical and ongoing socio-economic challenges faced by Indigenous Peoples in Canada. In addition to learning about the Indian Act and the tragic legacy of residential schools, we learned about the pass system that was in place from 1885 until the 1940s, which controlled the movement of Indigenous people. The pass system had devastating and far-reaching impacts on the economies, cultures, and overall well-being of Indigenous Peoples. As an airline, we can’t imagine working with those conditions.  The print shown below is from Cree Artist Jerry Whitehead – which was presented by Melanie Lizotte to Pivot Airlines in recognition of completing a full day of in-person Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training. The other image includes just a few of the books and resources suggested by Inspired Connections Consulting to continue Pivot’s learning journey.   We recognize that educating ourselves is a continuous learning journey. We are committed to working in allyship with Indigenous Peoples and taking steps towards creating a business and employment climate that is more intentionally inclusive of Indigenous Peoples. Our goal is to further economic reconciliation in Canada and make a positive impact on the lives of Indigenous Peoples.  As we observe this important day, we encourage everyone to reflect on the history and experiences of Indigenous Peoples in Canada and to take meaningful actions toward reconciliation. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable future for all.  𝗣𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀: 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲, 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 – 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮'𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲.   #TruthAndReconciliation #IndigenousPeoples #Inclusion #Diversity #EconomicReconciliation #TruthAndReconciliationMonth
