On Saturday, September 21st, a Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard Dash 8 maritime surveillance aircraft played a crucial role in detecting suspicious activity near the ABC Islands. Equipped with AIMS-ISR mission software, the Dash 8 quickly identified a go-fast boat, leading to the swift deployment of the Holand-class navy ship. Within hours, two go-fasts were intercepted, resulting in the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of approximately 1790 kilos of cocaine. On September 12, a Holland-class Dutch navy ship, working with the Caribbean Coast Guard, intercepted a go-fast vessel near the ABC islands, seizing over 1,200 kg of cocaine and 132 kg of marijuana. The operation was initiated thanks to a report from the Coast Guard's Dash 8 patrol aircraft, which first located the suspected boat. The quick actions of the ship's crew, Fleet Marine Squadron, and Coast Guard resulted in the arrest of five suspects and the recovery of the contraband. This marks the ship's second major operation in just a week, underscoring the vital collaboration between Dutch and U.S. Coast Guard forces. Non-emergency medical transport is vital for patients in remote areas who require access to critical care services. These missions ensure timely care without overextending local emergency resources, offering a lifeline to those in need of specialized treatment.
