SAES, with Laboratorio Elettrofisico Engineering and Elpa Srl di Passafaro Salvatore & c (Elpa Impianti Srl), has completed the installation of the cabinets and electronics powering the NEG pumps. This critical step will enable the activation and regeneration of the pump obtaining a pumping speed exceeding 300,000 l/s, ensuring the optimal performance of the SPIDER facility at Consorzio RFX. A special thanks to Samuele Dal Bello and Marco Siragusa, who coordinated the project with dedication and precision. This system is designed to support the Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) for ITER Organization, in which Consorzio RFX plays an integral role. The next steps, anticipated for 2025, will include the final installation, Site Acceptance Tests, and commissioning of the pump.
