We’re excited to share that the “Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures” (“TNFD”) has released sector-specific guidance – for Engineering, construction and real estate (https://lnkd.in/d2iKvCC7) and Construction materials (https://lnkd.in/dPKvsXN8); meaning that it’s now much easier for organisations in these respective industries to take positive action for Nature and biodiversity. Sector-specific considerations, disclosure indicators and metrics translate to a more effective process when implementing the TNFD framework – which in turn translates into greater collective action and more transparent corporate disclosure, for the built environment. As a TNFD Taskforce member, we’re honoured to continue to do our part in driving this greater mission forward and inspiring our peers. In particular, the TNFD Hong Kong Launch Event in April 2024 – co-hosted with the TNFD Secretariat – has been a key highlight; as it gathered invaluable insights from Hong Kong real estate developers, construction companies and industry associations during the TNFD Real Estate Sector Focus Group roundtable. This feedback has directly contributed to the creation of the sector guidance. Our urban biodiversity and community wellbeing-themed space – Taikoo Square at Taikoo Place – just won the “ArtCan Award” by SING TAO NEWS CORPORATION LIMITED 星島新聞集團; a nod to our efforts to make arts and culture a part of everyday life.             With just 10 possible titleholders, this inaugural art-themed accolade recognises excellence in art and cultural events, performances, projects, designs and architecture; with winners carefully chosen by a panel of experts from the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong Film Development Council, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and more.
