An economic model for the future

Info

ECOnGOOD advocates for the Economy for the Common Good: a more ethical economic model, in which the wellbeing of people and the environment become the ultimate goal of business. The worldwide movement exists since 2010 and is based on the ideas of the Austrian author Christian Felber. Currently the movement consists of more than 4,500 members, organised in 10 national associations, with 171 local chapters in 35 countries. Close to 1,100 businesses and organisations have completed the Common Good Balance Sheet. Worldwide nearly 40 municipalities and 200 universities are actively involved in spreading the idea of the Economy for the Common Good. In 2018 the International Federation was founded and consists of 10 national associations. The International Federation coordinates the growing number of National ECG Associations, namely, Austria, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Chile and Argentina. Together the Federation and National Associations ensure the ECG strategy is supported financially and legally.
