Today marks a groundbreaking achievement as we celebrate the delivery of first quantum chips for the #XAPHIRO quantum computer to the DLR Quantencomputing-Initiative (DLR-QCI). During a staged ceremony at the QCI Showcase Event in Hamburg, Head of QCI Dr. Robert Axmann received a SPAD for qubit readout from Lars Reger (CTO NXP), while our Project Manager Dr. Robert Steyrleuthner officially handed over one of QUDORAs first quantum processors. This moment signifies an important technical milestone for the XAPHIRO quantum computer which will start operation with 50 qubits in 2025. At the "QC Next" workshop, hosted by the consortium of Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and Kipu Quantum, they engaged with the quantum software community on the consortium’s QC Next Innovation Concept. This initiative, which is part of an initial project phase, is set to lead into a larger program envisioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in 2025. QC Next aims to enable "Quantum Advantage" by embedding software engineering and computer science within quantum computing technologies to make it accessible for enterprise applications. Additionally, Giorgio Zarantonello and Dr. Daniel Borcherding participated in the "Quantum Advantage Now – Kipu Industry Forum," where Kipu Quantum presented its latest advancements in quantum algorithms and its cloud platform, PlanQK. It is designed to support industry partners with quantum-enabled solutions. Vadim is a full professor at Technische Universität Braunschweig and Head of the associated CMOS Design Institute, where he and his research group are developing cutting-edge #CMOS electronics for ion trap quantum computers. His work has attracted significant attention in the community over the last years as #CMOS technology is the key component for building scalable quantum hardware. Prior to his academic career, Vadim spent more than 20 years in the semiconductor industry at Intel Corporation, Infineon Technologies and imec providing him an excellent overview about #CMOS IC design, available processes, fabs and market trends. In 2022, he was honoured as ‘Lower Saxony’s person of the year’ (“Niedersachse des Jahres 2022”) for helping students from Ukraine to relocate to #Braunschweig by supporting their research during the war. 👉 QUDORA Technologies at Munich Quantum Software Forum 👈 We are happy to share that we participated for the second time in the Munich Quantum Software Forum, which brings together the "who is who" of quantum computing software! Once again, it was a fantastic experience filled with insights from key players like NVIDIA, IBM, and Google, as well as engaging poster pitches on a variety of quantum software tools and platforms. We had the opportunity to showcase our "QUDORA Cloud Platform" (cloud.qudora.com) to the community and are eager to implement the received feedback. Like last year, this inspiring event sparked many new ideas for enhancing our software stack. 𝐐𝐔𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐐𝐕𝐋𝐒-𝐢𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 On Monday, we had the pleasure of participating in the #QVLS-iLabs cluster meeting hosted by our partner Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB in Braunschweig. QVLS-iLabs is one of seven Clusters4Future funded by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung and the only one focussing on quantum technologies in Germany. In our cluster, we bring various quantum stakeholders from science and industry together and collaborate on enabling technologies, demonstrators, and applications. During the meeting our colleagues Amado Bautista-Salvador, Martina Wahnschaffe and Florian Ungerechts used the opportunity to exchange with partners, industry leaders and researchers about the recent project progress as well as potential ideas for the next 3-years funding round starting in March 2026.
