Our Managing Director, Dr. Ulrich Guddat, was part of this insightful discussion and shared three key takeaways that deserve a closer look:  1️⃣ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🤝   The future of mobility isn’t just about vehicles. It’s about seamlessly integrating automotive technologies into broader ecosystems, such as power generation, distribution, and urban planning. The electromobility industry is seeing collaboration between sectors. However, there’s still room for improvement when it comes to cooperation among key associations like VDE and German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). For the industry to thrive, organizations must work more closely, aligning efforts to create an integrated approach to future mobility.  2️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹⚡   Long-term progress in electromobility depends on market-driven solutions. As Thomas Speidel noted, subsidies can provide short-term gains but are not a sustainable path forward. Competition drives innovation, efficiency, and scalability, which are critical for industry longevity.  3️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵💡  “I saw more implemented innovation and tangible progress on day one of this conference than at my last three automotive conferences combined.” - Dr. Guddat This highlights an important reality: some of the most impressive advancements in electromobility have come from sectors adjacent to the automotive industry—players not typically seen as central to innovation. OEMs, while traditionally viewed as leaders in this space, can benefit greatly from exploring ideas and technologies emerging beyond their usual sphere of influence. Earlier this month, our team participated in the AVL Tech Day Battery event, where we explored cutting-edge developments in battery testing efficiency. With global competition heating up—especially with China leading the charge—it’s more critical than ever for European players to optimize testing in order to stay competitive. ⚡🌍 Our Partner, Dr. Oliver Spreitzer, gave a keynote speech on "Optimizing Efficiency in Battery Testing". Inspired by Marlene Dietrich’s iconic character in 𝘉𝘢𝘣𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯, there’s a clear parallel in the world of electric vehicles. Like a true diva, EV batteries are complex and sensitive—requiring careful attention to unlock their full potential.   💡 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬: A few weeks ago, our colleagues Dr. Ulrich Guddat, Dr. Oliver Spreitzer, and Arndt v. Gregory chaired the #AutomotiveBatteryTechSummit in Berlin, where they engaged with key experts and executives from top European automotive firms. The discussions revealed several critical insights into the latest advancements, trends, and the industry's push towards electromobility:   1. This innovative approach improves engineering efficiency and speeds up development timelines.   3. 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Cost-effective battery solutions which can be maintained at the cell level, with features such as tab-cooling, cell passport, and open BMS, will boost consumer trust in EV batteries and electric vehicles overall.   ✨ The Summit underlined the need for innovation and collaboration among Europe’s battery powerhouses to overcome industry challenges and restore the region’s global competitiveness.
