From research to real-world solutions: Midterm report demonstrates BETA. HEALTH’s significant role in accelerating clinical innovation 🚀 Two years into the BETA. HEALTH programme, we’re excited to present the key findings from our midterm evaluation. The evaluation was conducted over the summer and autumn by IRIS Group ApS for the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Since launching as a pilot programme in 2022, BETA. HEALTH has established its role as a national platform that funds and supports healthcare innovation projects derived from clinical research discoveries in Denmark. The programme’s long-term goal is to make clinical innovation an integrated part of the Danish healthcare system through the development, implementation and scaling of new solutions that benefit patients and society. Therefore, we're thrilled to read that: 📈 97% of the project teams agree that the BETA. HEALTH programme has accelerated their projects and shortened their time to market. 🏥 3 out of 10 projects have already reached clinical practice or are estimated to do so within a year –and some are also on their way to international markets. 💰 BETA. HEALTH plays a crucial role in providing bridge funding, with 6 out of 10 alumni projects successfully attracting the additional funding necessary to ready their solutions for clinical use. The government’s new life-science strategy establishes innovation as the fourth pillar of the Danish healthcare system, enhancing the relevance of BETA. HEALTH. Reflecting on this, we’re delighted that the program has shown significant impact after the first two years. Moreover, the midterm report offers valuable insights into how we can improve and strengthen the BETA. HEALTH programme. We are excited to take on this task, ensuring that even more clinical research is transformed into real-world solutions that can futureproof our healthcare system and, most importantly, improve patient outcomes.
