DARE2X aims to develop a new approach for decarbonizing NH3 production, enabling future applications such as energy storage as a green fuel. The proposed technology will be based on a sorption-enhanced plasma-catalytic synthesis, which will be validated at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101083905. #SabíasQue | Se emiten 2 toneladas de CO2 por cada tonelada de amoníaco que se produce con el modelo convencional Haber-Bosch 🌏 El amoníaco (NH3) es el segundo compuesto químico más producido a nivel mundial y, por eso, es imprescindible impulsar disruptivas tecnologías de producción de NH3 verde para satisfacer la demanda de este producto. A través de DARE2X, en ENSO trabajamos por ser parte de la solución y buscamos la forma de explotar el enorme potencial del amoníaco como combustible verde. El gran reto para la descarbonización de este proceso es la transición de instalaciones centralizadas a sistemas descentralizados que puedan acoplarse directamente a generadores de electricidad renovable, si no en el propio punto de uso, cerca de él. Mientras que su producción centralizada (proceso Haber-Bosch) se basa en la transformación del gas natural a alta presión y temperatura, DARE2X busca un sistema alineado con el objetivo de descarbonizar la industria en Europa y de alcanzar una economía más competitiva.
