🛫 ASTRA participates in the SESAR Joint Undertaking #AI Flagship workshop Yesterday, ASTRA joined the first SESAR AI Flagship Workshop, where we engaged with experts and fellow projects to explore AI’s transformative role in aviation. This event offered a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and insights that will support ASTRA’s ongoing work in advancing safe, efficient airspace management. Max Bezzina and Nicolas Borovich attended the Sesar AI Flagship workshop on behalf of TADA - Terminal Airspace Digital Assistant.The workshop was held in Rome and organised by ENGAGE 2 and SESAR Joint Undertaking. Tomi Äijö of Monad, Jason Gauci for University of Malta also attended for TADA.

As this week, representatives of the ASTRA consortium gathered at EUROCONTROL for the project’s intermediate #Review, a key milestone in our journey. 🔍#Purpose The purpose of this meeting was to offer SESAR JU a thorough overview of ASTRA’s progress—from objectives, deliverables, and milestones, to technical maturity and any challenges encountered since the project’s inception. ✅#Outcome We’re pleased to share that the review was a success, with SESAR JU providing valuable recommendations and congratulating the consortium on the achievements to date. Our thanks go out to SESAR Joint Undertaking JU and its representatives for their constructive feedback, as well as to all ASTRA partners — The University of Malta, INGENAV, SkySoft-ATM, skyguide, and Deep Blue — for their dedicated efforts. MATS TRM Friday 26 October was the last day of the MATS TRM Programme 2024. Since March this year, Ingenav and I have delivered 10 TRM sessions at Malta Air Traffic Services. There were 6 ATCO sessions (ATCO-Pilot Communication, Situational Awareness) and 4 ATSEP (Generation Gap, Situational Awareness) sessions. We wish to thank the Captains who volunteered to come and have an intensive day with the ATCO participants. Ingenav is working hard with MATS to elaborate the 2025 programme. #TRM #Ingenav #MATS #Aviation
