🚀 Time flies… 🎉 This weekend we celebrated the 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 of MOWOOT, symbolically revisiting the ups and downs of the early years of a medical device #startup while learning to fly at WINDOOR REALFLY. 🎂 And of course this special #teambuilding also included an anniversary cake and a party with good food and drinks! ➡️ 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼, the #MOWOOT founder team, Immaculada Herrero Fresneda, PhD., Àngel Calzada, Marc Benet Pozo & Markus Wilhelms, detected an unmet need in the field of bowel management during the d-Health Barcelona program and embarked on a journey to solve it. ➡️ 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝘆𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, already recommended in several international clinical guidelines and even reimbursed by healthcare providers in important European markets. 🙏 All this was only possible thanks to the perfect combination of a motivated team, the support of our investors and partners, such as Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia, Institut Guttmann, 4M Medical GmbH, GENESIS Biomed, Capital Cell, Beurer GmbH, LAINCO and support from national and international public institutions, such as ACCIÓ, Barcelona Activa, Enisa con el emprendimiento innovador, CDTI Innovación - Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación, Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain, EIT Health Spain, EIT Health, European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), ... 💡 Yesterday MOWOOT CSO & cofounder Immaculada Herrero Fresneda, PhD. and CRMO & cofounder Marc Benet Pozo gave a masterclass on 'A practical Approach for Clinical Trials & Regulatory Requirements' in the #CRAASHBarcelona acceleration program for #healthtech #innovation by Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia. Key messages included: ➡ Know why & for whom you are creating clinical evidence: different markets & stakeholders might have different requirements! ➡ All evidence creation needs to be based on adequate risk-managment to ensure the technology is safe and performs as intended. ➡ It is never too early to understand the regulatory requirements for your solution! 🤝 The interest & feedback was great and we are happy that our team of #medicaldevice experts is making an impact not only with our own company, but also by supporting young #startups in the field on their way to market. 🚀 A big thank you to Miguel Salas & Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia for the invitation and lots of success to the participating teams of AIRWAY SHIELD, Banting Labs, NeuRNAx Diagnostic, ONAkids, REGEMED & BrainFocus!

💜 Hoy es el Día Nacional del Síndrome del Intestino Irritable #DíaNacionaldelSII, un día para concienciar y mostrar apoyo a quienes viven con esta condición crónica. ℹ️ El Síndrome del Intestino Irritable (SII) afecta al 10% de la población, es más común en #mujeres que en hombres y actualmente no cuenta con un tratamiento definitivo. 🤝 MOWOOT está contribuyendo a dar soluciones al #SII desarrollando un novedoso #dispositivoMédico apoyado por una plataforma digital #AI. Este enfoque innovador tiene como objetivo abordar el SII mediante la interacción con el eje intestino-cerebro, sin los efectos secundarios ni las limitaciones de los medicamentos o soluciones invasivas. El proyecto se lleva a cabo en colaboración con Eurecat - Technology Centre e IDIAPJGol y cuenta con el apoyo del Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain y la financiación de #NextGenerationEU.

📢 This week our CSO & MOWOOT CoFounder Dr. Immaculada Herrero Fresneda, PhD. is at UEG - United European Gastroenterology congress in Vienna, presenting clinical data that demonstrates the effectiveness of 'Intermittent Colonic Exoperistalsis' treatment with the #MOWOOT device in patients with #constipation induced by medicine (MiC). 🤝 We appreciate the invitation & great opportunity to exchange the latest trends in #gastroenterology with key opinion leaders & MOWOOT supporters in the field, such as Tatenda Marunda from St. Mark's Hospital. 🙌 Thanks to everyone who participated in #UEGWeek2024 for your questions, feedback & interest in our work!
