Portugal's share of European output increased by 34.3%, now comprising 17.1%. “This is the result of the continued investment of Portugal's footwear sector, the definition of an ambitious vision, and tailored public policies, allowing the sector to reposition itself in the international competitive scene,” stated Luís Onofre, President of APICCAPS Associação Portuguesa de Calçado. EL PEFCR PARA TEXTIL Y CALZADO... Se están realizando progresos técnicos significativos en el desarrollo del PEFCR (Método de Evaluación de la Huella Ambiental del Producto) para el sector textil y del calzado. Veamos algunos aspectos clave: Recopilación de comentarios: Las discusiones técnicas se basaron en los comentarios de la segunda consulta pública, que arrojó más de 5000 contribuciones. Esto indica un alto nivel de interés y participación de las partes interesadas, lo que resulta crucial para garantizar la solidez del PEFCR. Evaluación de microfibras: El texto destaca la atención específica que se presta a la evaluación de microfibras,incluyendo microplásticos. Esto es importante debido a la creciente preocupación por la contaminación por microplásticos y su impacto en el medio ambiente. Recolección de datos de proveedores: Se están realizando avances en el desarrollo de flujos de trabajo para la recolección de datos de proveedores. Esto es esencial para garantizar la transparencia y la precisión de la evaluación del ciclo de vida del producto. Base de datos EF: El texto menciona el trabajo en curso relacionado con la base de datos EF. Earlier this week, EURATEX and other members of the Technical Secretariat of the #PEFCRs for #apparel and footwear gathered in Madrid for two days of intense technical discussions on the methodology. The PEF Days focused on the feedback from the second public consultation on the PEFCRs, which ran between March and April and collected more than 5000 comments. The meeting also discussed #microfibers (including #microplastics) assessment, and progress on important workstreams relating to #supplier #data collection and EF database. EURATEX looks forward to further developing the PEFCRs, towards their adoption by the European Commission foreseen in Q1 2025. The next steps are increasing #awareness and #engagement by companies.
