The Material Design and Modelling group participated in the 7th Iberoamerican Meeting On Ionic Liquids IMIL2024 held in Coimbra (Portugal)📍 through scientific posters and oral presentations. Dr. Santiago Aparicio gave a keynote lecture about "Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) for Natural Compounds Extraction". Nuria Aguilar and Sara Rozas Azcona presented research' results about DES focusing on their behavior in confinement, hydrocarbon solubilization, and helicene solubility through computational and theoretical approaches. https://lnkd.in/dUigBQYU

Se trata de nuevos materiales críticos y de mucha, mucha INNOVACION.   ⭕ Si te pasa como a mi (que hasta hace unas semanas apenas sabía nada sobre ICCRAM), te contaré que el ICCRAM (International Research Center in Critical Raw Materials for Advanced Industrial Technologies) es un centro internacional de investigación, vinculado a la Universidad de Burgos, dedicado al desarrollo de tecnologías avanzadas e innovadoras en el ámbito de los materiales críticos. Su misión principal es investigar y proponer soluciones sostenibles en el uso, reciclaje y sustitución de materias primas críticas, con aplicaciones clave en sectores como la energía, la industria y la digitalización. Este centro combina ciencia, tecnología y sostenibilidad para impulsar la innovación industrial y fortalecer la competitividad económica de Burgos y sus alrededores.   ⭕ Gonzalo Salazar Mardones es un destacado académico Licenciado en Química Industrial y Doctor Ingeniero Químico por la Universidad de Oviedo. Ha desarrollado una extensa carrera en la Universidad de Burgos desde 1995, impartiendo docencia en los grados de Química y Ciencia y Tecnología de los Alimentos. Ha desempeñado roles clave en la gestión universitaria, incluyendo la dirección de la Oficina de Transferencia de Resultados de Investigación y el decanato de la Facultad de Ciencias. Actualmente, es Vicerrector de Relaciones con la Empresa y Resiliencia, promoviendo la colaboración entre la universidad y el sector empresarial para fomentar la innovación y la empleabilidad.   ⭕ Gonzalo es el ponente ideal para este evento de Foro HUBERS gracias a su profundo conocimiento de la innovación industrial y su experiencia en fomentar la conexión entre la investigación y el tejido empresarial. Es un defensor activo de la transferencia de conocimiento desde la universidad hacia la industria, lo que lo convierte en una figura clave para inspirar y guiar a la ciudad hacia un modelo económico más diverso.
