Weather in Turin might have been chilly, but the M42 #PEACOC meeting heated up with discussions around the various routes our project is exploring to turn waste streams into value. A special thanks to our colleagues at Centro Ricerche Fiat [Group Stellantis] for hosting our consortium meeting and giving us a tour of their impressive #research facilities. 💡After demonstrating the various technologies at lab scale, it was about time to show the progress achieved at pilot level. Easier said than done, but our partners are pushing hard in the last stretch to complete the assembly operations and test functionality. 2️⃣ weeks ago, SuPerTandem celebrated 2️⃣ years on our M24 meeting organized by INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire in the beautiful city of Chambery, France 🍷. All partners were excited to plan out activities of the last year and define a strategy on how to reach a successful end of SuPerTandem in 2025! It was not only an important milestone for the project, but for the whole #perovskite research community too ☀️, as we reunited representatives from 8 #EUfunded projects during the associated "Eco-Design Workshop" ♻️! This public event featured lively discussions on the #environmental impacts of emerging "green" technologies and comparisons of results and challenges across the projects. A key #takeaway of the event was that increased #transparency and data-sharing is needed, to give more added value to environmental assessments of lower-TRL technologies! 💸

📸 Snapshots from our recent M24 meeting, where discussions have initiated to establish the most promising technologies for #lithium recovery and battery-grade materials production. This marks a significant step forward in our mission. Hosting our M24 meeting in Karlsruhe also gave us the opportunity to visit the lab facilities at the Institute for Applied Materials Energy Storage Systems (IAM-ESS). Another reason to be here, in Karlsruhe:  many of the technologies and outcomes of the #research work from LiCORNE are being presented during the Symposium on Direct Lithium Extraction (SDLE), hosted by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and co-organised by the #LiCORNEProject. The technological and scientific presentations have already begun, with our coordinator, Dr. Lourdes Yurramendi Sarasola [TECNALIA Research & Innovation] initiating the session with results obtained in the #LiCORNEProject.
