Vision ➨ Reality in just 2 years This year at SLUSH, we experienced the profound impact our technology can have on real people, with real stories. This has always been our mission, and now we see it coming to fruition. SLUSH has always been a fantastic platform for connecting the ecosystem, sharing knowledge, and collaboration. However, this year meant so much more for us. Through a technical demonstration of carotid artery screening, we showed how our technology can detect cardiovascular issues that might otherwise go unnoticed, validating just how important this work is. The tangible impact of our work was highlighted during our CEO Jack's presentation on the Startup Stage. He emphasised our broader mission: to automate cardiovascular analysis and exponentiate productivity, ultimately expanding access to preventative screening. This approach enables us to identify diseases long before they become critical. It was fantastic to celebrate the innovators recognised in the AI Visionaries 2025 list at the Responsible AI: Women and Healthcare Conference yesterday. Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex recently named the 2025 visionaries, highlighting leaders who are using AI to tackle sex bias in healthcare. HI NENC is proud to have supported Jack Parker, Founder of AIATELLA, whose groundbreaking work was recognised. Speakers such as Dame Lesley Regan and Kate Lancaster explored the urgent need to address women’s health inequalities and the potential role of AI in this. As Baroness Merron summed up: "We need to address the healthcare challenges of today using the technologies of the future."

Super proud of our CEO Jack being recognized as a visionary for the use of AI to close the gender health gap. At the forefront of AI in healthcare, AIATELLA has the opportunity (and therefore the obligation) to ensure representation in our AI and research. Cardiovascular diseases do not discriminate, so neither should AI! AIATELLA is committed to ensuring representation of women and minority populations in our research and product development, recognizing that clinical guidelines have typically been informed by studies on white, middle-aged men. We're running clinical studies focused on understanding barriers to care and investigating how diseases present and progress differently by sex and demographic. This commitment extends to our AI development, where we create inclusive algorithms that account for diverse populations. By collaborating with our clinical and academic partners, AIATELLA aims to make a significant contribution to changing the landscape of medical research and AI applications, ensuring that our innovations serve all segments of society equitably.

 Following our successful proof of concept at SLUSH last year, Onni and Jack had the opportunity to share our progress in making preventative CVD screening possible in the Finnish healthcare magazine Hoiva & Terveys   We're incredibly excited to enter the new year and pushing the quality of cardiovascular care and working towards making preventative CVD screening accessible to all!

🚀 We love Y Science! 🚀 Our partner Alexandra Gylfe PhD delivered an inspiring talk at Slush Y Science on "Research Commercialization Through VC Collaboration" to a packed house of 1,000+ attendees. Here are the highlights: 1️⃣ A Strong Foundation for Spinouts: University spinouts in Finland make up 20% of the top ten recent biggest exits. In general, only 10% of university spinouts fail within their first five years, proving they are far less risky than generally presumed. 2️⃣ Bridging Worlds: As a former researcher and biotech executive, Alexandra shared her journey from cancer research to venture capital, highlighting the critical need for stronger collaboration between VCs and university researchers to unlock the full potential of commercialization projects. 3️⃣ AI in Action: AI is reshaping life sciences and deep tech by dramatically accelerating innovation, driving breakthroughs in areas like disease detection, diagnosis, and complex data analysis. Wrapping up a fantastic demo day at Maria 01 We discussed our work in cardiovascular diagnostics, automating the most time-consuming and subjective tasks in scan analysis. We talked about international collaboration and how patient involvement in healthcare innovation is an absolute must. The real showstopper however was our live demonstration of how our AI can be applied to the early detection and prevention of these diseases. Thank you to all who took part.
