It was an unforgettable experience to showcase our startup, connect with passionate individuals, and exchange inspiring ideas with fellow entrepreneurs and like-minded visitors. 𝑯𝑲𝑩𝑼 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒔’ 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒   We are pleased to support HKBU Secondary School Principals' Day 2024 and showcase notable achievements in service-learning and social innovation at Centre for Innovative Service-Learning. Driven by the mission to advance holistic education and the social good ecosystem, Dr Lisa Lam highlighted the transformative power of service-learning in personal growth and community development, while Mr Nicholas Ooi featured inspiring social innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives in TriAngle. The Students' Social Innovation Initiatives demonstrated their creativity and dedication in addressing social challenges: Sportcanheal852 focused on promoting youth mental health through Karate and mindfulness; Stote aimed to provide sustainable solutions for extending the lifecycle of textile waste; and Bio-Leisure, led by mainland students at HKBU, is dedicated to fostering sustainable lifestyles and harmony with nature through combining live-action role-playing games (LARP) and outdoor experiential learning.   Furthermore, “The Path to Benevolence: Tin Ka Ping Foundation Service-Learning Showcase", a key component of the event, represented a significant milestone in promoting service-learning and traditional Chinese values at Hong Kong Baptist University. 🌱🎉 Bio-Leisure: Promoting Environmental Awareness and Conservation through Innovative Gaming Experiences 🎮🌍 We are thrilled to share our recent participation in the "Social Innovation Togetherness" Market Carnival —— a groundbreaking two-day event held on the HKBU campus. This unique carnival brought together 24 social innovation groups, including our own, to share transformative solutions that make a real difference in the community. Our team, led by Yubo ZHOU (Mars) and Vicky Liu, is comprised of passionate members Miu Sum Su, Jill Cheng, Fiona, David and Ziqing. We share a deep passion for nature, hiking, and camping. We are grateful to TriAngle at the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning, Nicholas Ooi, and Leo Hung, for orchestrating such an extraordinary opportunity! 🎪🤝 At the heart of the Carnival was a collective focus on promoting sustainability, and Bio-Leisure was at the forefront of this critical mission. We showcased our innovative gaming experiences that foster environmental awareness and conservation values among participants. Through interactive gameplay and thought-provoking narratives, we engaged visitors in a conversation about the importance of protecting our natural resources and the significance of sustainable practices. ♻️🎮 The response we received was overwhelming, with attendees expressing genuine excitement and appreciation for our unique approach. We had the chance to pitch our ideas to the market and connect with individuals who share our passion for environmental stewardship. Witnessing the impact of our work and the positive change it brings to our community reaffirms our commitment to our mission. 💚🌍 As we reflect on our journey so far, we are grateful for the support and encouragement we have received from our university, our fellow students, and the broader community.
