On February 18th, we had the honor of meeting Dr. suman sahai, Founding Director of Gene Campaign - India, a fellow traveler of PRIA India. She shared insights into the genesis of Gene Campaign, the art of building a #campaign, and powerful stories from #farmers' protests and her fight for farmers' rights and farm laws. Dr. Sahai also took the time to engage with our #climatechange initiatives, offering valuable perspectives. On 11 February, Lalita Ramdas, a former governing board member of PRIA India and a close colleague and friend of Dr. Martha Farrell, visited MFF and PRIA. During her visit, she shared insightful experiences from her time working with Dr. Rajesh Tandon and Dr. Martha Farrell. She also narrated Dr. Martha's significant contribution as one of the experts who designed the first-ever gender-sensitisation training module titled ‘Men, Women and Society’ for the Indian Navy, which further encouraged the participation of more #women in the Indian Navy . “There was a lot of resentment from the older officers that this was not a woman’s domain and that they wouldn’t be able to cope with war,” said Dr. Martha Farrell in an article published by Washington Post in 1994.
