Women are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, often due to limited representation in decision-making, which results in overlooking critical voices that can help accelerate just climate action. It’s time to change that. The Women Climate Collective (WCC) is a platform dedicated to supporting and elevating climate leaders who drive inclusive climate action. Over the past two years, WCC has united women with diverse expertise, with our leaders developing solutions that span various industries and tackle the complexities of climate change. Two years ago, Women Climate Collective (WCC) set out to make climate action more inclusive. Since then, we've worked with 36 incredible leaders across two cohorts, growing our network to over 6,000 members, and reaching millions of people concerned about our planet's future. Apiculture, or #beekeeping, plays a crucial role in improving crop yields and maintaining ecosystem stability. However, over harvesting of honey and honey products can often lead to disturbance to local ecosystem and habitat degradation. Monika Shukla, CEO and Co-Founder of Humble Bee @ Buzzworthy Ventures, is making beekeeping practices more sustainable by fusing traditional knowledge with technology-led solutions and social impact. She considers micro enterprises in beekeeping as a social and economic equaliser and is currently creating a vertically integrated tech-and-touch value chain in scientific beekeeping.
